BORDEAUX 7S JULY 18th 2015

How come resale is so high on these if no one really cares for them? Personally one of my favorite js.. something about that 2 tone cw on 7s look so clean. Its a toss up between these and my dmp charcoals (which I think should retro in the year of the 7s too) wasn't able to cop the 2011 due to monetary reasons so ill be going after these

Just because they didn't sell out fast or was camp out type drop doesn't = people not caring for them

Also sometimes people just play catch up like the Black Cat 4's & 07 Aqua 8's

^^ no I get that. I think youre missing my point. most in this thread are saying that this is more unpopular color way of 7. Im just asking if that's the case my is resale so high?

I've only read a few post, but from what I gather people are saying bordeauxs are unpopular? lol. How could anyone come to that conclusion? I'm sure people will try and disagree (probably the same people who think that Grape Vs, Military IVs and Sport Blue VIs were insanely popular during their initial release because they're sought after now) but this colorway has always been popular. Even back in late '92, I remember tons of kids having these. In fact, the only color I seen more people with were the "Hares".

It's also worth mentioning that the shoe only retroed once. So many kids who didn't have jobs during that time, or weren't  into shoes, or just passed for whatever reason will be all over these. That alone explains the current resale value. I'm having a hard time believing that anyone would actually believe that this is one of the less popular colorways.

Now according to BSS

"These will look good when it's warm too"

Is it warm in fall?

My Area has some pretty cold Fall seasons.

Does it refer to the end of spring and start of summer?

They arent popular like you are trying to portray them. These were hitting sales racks back in the og day.

This is my favorite jordan of all time but i dont let my personal taste blind me into thinking these were popular when they first came out and when the retro came out most people wanted them for nostalgia and reselling purposes. These were always a love hate shoe never universally loved like most xi's or other popular jordans

I still remember being a kid with these. The ogs that is. I was the only one in my school with um. My shoes got called wack jordans to rainbow brites

If the first retro bordeaux thread is still around go check it out. Dudes were panicking for nothing. It was an easy cop with resellers having ghost accounts through out trying to scare people into preordering or paying resell

And the reason why they go for alot now is simple. People want what they dont have.

But now that price is gonna dip since they coming back out.

Love the vii retros. Probably the only retro that last long and built strong. All my first run retros look new still

I wish I would've doubled up on the Cardinal VII's, I balled in mine. I also kick my self in the butt for passing on the Oly VII's every dang time they released.

I should've copped atleast 1 pair and also the LOTG pair.......

You're comparing two lackluster colorways, to numerous colorways that are considered to be classics, among the greatest of all time? There are a bunch of colorways that haven't been brought back, but the point is that them retroing shoes within a four year timespan is nothing new, as it has precedent within their past release methods.
Citrus and Flints VIIs lackluster?? besides these are my favorite 7 colorways.

"rainbow brites"

And the Clover 1's in my profile pic are one of my favorite colorways; doesn't change the fact that many consider them to be lackluster/trash. Flints and Citrus aren't heavily desired colorways for the 7. Would they sell if they dropped? Absolutely, but not like the Hares would. That's why I said there's a difference between the colorways that have retroed again and the ones that haven't.

You're nuts bro learn the difference between opinion and facts. Neither of those CWs have been launched in this new era of Jordan craze so nobody can say how they would sell or what the general opinion on them is. I'd bet money they'd both be instant sellouts

That is the difference.

"besides these are my favorite 7 colorways"

^That's YOUR opinion, which is clouding your view of both. It's a fact that they are not even close to the most popular colorways of the Air Jordan 7 line. If you think they are you're delusional my friend.

OG black cement 3's hit sales racks, assorted OG 1's hit sales racks, OG grape 5's hit sales racks, OG maroon 6 and sport blues hit sales racks, OG bordeaux's hit sales racks, hell even OG concords failed to move at first until months later when the OG Black and Red 11's dropped...I also was around during that time to know that A LOT of Jordans hit the sales racks simply because it was a completely different time in life and for sneakers...

My point is that damn near ALL of these shoes are considered classics, and in the case of the Bordeaux 7, I remember PLENTY of people in my school and in my hood that had these, and I ended up getting them as well a bit later on..these were just as popular where I'm from as the black infrared 6's were a year earlier...not comparing the shoes, but just making a point that these Bordeaux's DID have a huge following to them and will ALWAYS be remembered by OG enthusiasts as THE shoe that premiered on that Nike Air Jordan 7 commercial with Bugs Bunny, as well as the shoe MJ wore in Jam with the other MJ...but that commercial got people focused on the 7's in 92'..

Nah b, I would be all over a pair of flints if they retroed this year. I used to fiend for the Citruses in middle school, not so much anymore.

Some just won't understand cause they weren't there to see it first hand.

Alot of people were there. But every area was different than the other. About the other stuff such as sales racks hes not saying anything we dont already know. Its not gonna change the fact this isnt one of the popular jordans of all time

Something tells me this is gonna be part two of tryna hype this shoe up for resale purposes only to fail

depending on where you lived, these were very popular at the time..but I can't speak for your experiences just like you can't speak for mine, and if these aren't one of the most "popular" Jordans of all time, they certainly are one of the most unique and recognized...lol

I don't remember if anyone else had them or if they were popular in my area. All I remember is when I first seen them in the bugs bunny commercial I fell in love with them and had to have them. My second favorite shoe all time, defiantly a classic IMO.

One or two other classmates of mine had the Bordeauxs back in 92, along with me. They weren't as popular as some others in my area that everyone had (Blk/Infrared VI, Blk/Metallic V, Blk/Cement IV) but they weren't absolutely nonexistent like Grape V's, Maroon and Sport Blue VI's were.

That commercial set it off for me as well. I scraped up every penny I could to get them. That commercial is so nostalgic
