BORDEAUX 7S JULY 18th 2015

All the 7s retros from 2011-2012 were trash compared to 7 retros from prior. From the shape and colors, the 2011 Bordeauxs did not get it exactly right and I'm sure the 2015s will at least be closer to the OGs than the 2011
 
Looking at pics of the Marvin the Martians and having seen many pairs of the French Blue 7s, I'm excited about the shape of 2015 7's!!

The shape change is not too huge but is def an improvement from the recent 7s before 2015. (In My Opinion)

Yeah I agree the shape is looking better. I think the one thing JB should fix is the collar of the shoe. I do t like how the collar has changed from '02 to the recent retros

They get worse and more expensive the next time they come out.

The last MB and FR 4's were better than the previous releases (which ain't sayin' much). That's all I got, LOL...

Back in the day if you went into a store and looked at a selection of OGs, some were really noticeable and the back part did indeed look more leathery... but other pairs only had a slight difference and practically looked like the same grain all over. That's where the confusion comes in, especially nowadays where some vintage pairs (even DS) are so worn down that the heel sections just look like plain old leather, and people think they were always that way.

Yeah, I hope they don't expect the colors to be exactly the same on these.
 
Maybe people haven't seen comparison pics or videos of the OG and 2011 Bordeaux's, or perhaps everyone has forgotten, but the 2011 Bordeaux's had many things about them that were "off". From the midsole being much light er to the green being off, not mention the shape??

I'm not a blind fool when it comes to JBs remaster program but as a said before, there is no way the 2015 retro is going to be worse or farther away than the 2011 pair. There are a number of things that can be improved.(not even mentioning material.

Again, I hope you don't think they will look exactly like they did back then.

And I'll never understand why people pull out 20+ year old shoes to compare colors, when colors change over the years from aging.

Colors don't change that much especially when they are dead stock. I understand why your expectations are so low but you're missing my point. I'm not saying the 2015 release will be an exact copy but it should look more similar to the OG than the 2011 release. We've already seen JB improve not the Chicago 1s and the Chicago 10s in terms of quality and colors go.

Preach What?? The above pics ware from 1992. The 1992 version still has a brighter green , darker midsole and different shape. The above pairs are "Brand New" and they still look much different from the 2011 retro

Colors change from aging, I have 20+ year old sneakers.

What does age have to do with anything? If an old head like the way the OGs look and a young head head likes the way the OGs look whats the difference? I have very old shoes too and the thing that changed was they may have gotten tan or brown look because of dirt/dust but not completely changed its color.  And I guess you had something different than what was in those photos, or perhaps they were photoshopped? 

That whole Young people shouldn't complain argument doesn't hold. Whether I'm in my 20s or in my 30s or 40s doesn't further validate someone wanting the original. Thats a dumb af argument you older people always try to use to make yourself seem superior.

I'll say this, if the young one likes the way the og look just be content with the OG that you have. I'm an older head and I plan on starting back buying a few more OG's because in reality even though it's a retro it will never be the same shoe and that goes for any company any brand.
 
7s are my fave shoe.. I respect the ogs I wish they could get close to that mold for the next release.. I seen some pics that looks like the shape got better but they still don't give that OG shape.. I have the 2011 pair and I like the military green they used its more modern and easier to match with camo but I do want the OG color green on the next pair. Jb changes stuff on purpose it's like they're trolling us.. This so called remaster should unite all the old heads and younger collectors because we all have love for the same shoes. Let's just hope they get it right.
