[Official] Star Wars Episode VII: "The Force Awakens" Movie Thread - Expect Trailer On 04/16 [Dec. 2

QUESTION...those posters above..are those fan made art? Or are they officially released by Disney/Lucasfilm?

That Sith looks a lot like Darth Revan, and he's not canon from what I've seen/heard/read.

Walter..

Walter..

Official art's that's been "leaked" for Star Wars Celebration this weekend.

So stoked for the trailer. Has there been any info on when this trailer is supposed to be shown? The very beginning or later on in the day?

Chances are they are going to show it during the JJ and KK "Force Awakens" panel at Celebration which starts at 10am. They will stream the panel live at StarWars.com

If they do show it there, they will probably put it on youtube almost immediately.

I cant wait, I just re-watched the trailer and some reaction vids this morning. I'm really hoping for a trailer for both The Force Awakens and Battlefront. As much as I want to see all the new things in the movie, I can't help but hope to see the original trilogy members in the trailer.
i dunno if it was posted or discussed in here yet, but the video of Kevin Smith talking about being on set of the new movie was probably one of the best things i ever watched. DEF check that out if you havent.

when i first saw it was 20 mins long i was like

...but after i watched it i wished it was longer.

I guess I'm really trying to understand how that new saber is practical. those beams sticking out of the side would surely slice through both of his wrists and cut his hands off. Looks cool, but kind of silly at the same time.

Darth Maul had the goat saber.

I lightsaber like that might cut off the wrists of a normal person wielding it but not somebody trained and force sensitive.

A double ended lightsaber wouldn't really be practical either, or so I've heard from weapons experts on podcasts and interviews.

The color barrier in the universe is getting more diverse in star wars.  If my memory recalls there are now 3 black guys....I think maybe 4.
