I honestly think that 2 lists is a better option. It gives those of us that were here for the right reasons the chance to exchange gifts with someone with a similar attitude towards giving rather that ending up with someone who is just taking part hoping to get gifts from a more than generous santa!

Yeah...there's a solid number of size 13s that everyone should match up with someone they know to some extent.

Don't get it twisted fellas, matchups are tough. The fact that we only had 1 or 2 people complain out of 30 something is a got dang miracle. Took me 2 hours on an excel sheet to get the matchups the best they could be and even then it wasn't perfect. We might consider doing shoes only, that way the matchups are made easier. Honestly adding one extra parameter (shirt size) made it so much more difficult.

You should just worry about matching based on shoe size, and then if someone wants to send a shirt/hoodie (saw some cool shop shirts got passed around), just grab a fresh one

That's why we collected shirt size last year, but it ended up 1) Being WAY more difficult on my end to sort (I can't really put a XL size 13 with a M size 13 and 2) Made the exchange into less of an SB exchange and more of a general exchange (neither of which I particularly liked). I'd have to say this year I'll almost certainly be making it just shoes. If you guys wanna send shirts and whatever as an extra, it'll be a crap shoot but I'd rather that than all the stuff I mentioned above.

Yeah, just shoes and just adding extra info that's optional is the way to go IMO.

No that's my point. Last year all the other info was optional. This year I will NOT be taking shirt size or any other type of info. The second I take "optional" info like that I am REQUIRED to match people based on that parameter as well. Think about it like this: I take down your shirt size as a "if someone wants to they can send me something," but then I match you with someone who doesn't wear the same shirt size. Kinda defeats the point, no? So even if I want to give people the option I gotta do all this extra work.
