Came across this article earlier today....I hope that when you all travel, you utilize the "do not disturb" sign or the safe in the room. You can't put your faith in other people that they will be honest while on the job. While this maid didn't steal anything, she shouldn't have been going through this guy's ****. She'll probably lose her job, but I can't say that I feel all that bad.

Many people leave their valuables exposed in their hotel rooms while traveling, but one recent guest vows not to after his viral video of a curious maid who doesn’t steal anything, but sure seems interested in using his laptop and tablet.

The video, uploaded by a YouTube user named Vince Stravix, claims to be taken at a “brand-name” American hotel on November 5 and is secretly recorded with his laptop camera. While the guest was away, the maid is seen taking a long look at a package he’d received, rifling through his video games, apparently trying to access the very laptop that’s recording her, picking up and playing with his tablet, looking inside his luggage, then apparently trying to access his laptop again. Only after all this does she actually get around to making his bed and cleaning his room.

"American Hotel"

Son was at a Room Saver Holiday Inn Express package with no upgrade and set the bait on this poor woman.

Damn

I work in the hotel industry does this happen yes yes it does. But God dam I hate guest like this I know the type smh.

Lock up your crap or leave your PS3 at home if you don't want the cleaning lady touching your stuff.

So there are people out there that leave all of their valuables laying around in the room when they leave? :smh:

Even if I'm leaving the room to grab something to eat, I put my stuff away, turn the tv up so it sounds like someone is in the room and put the do not disturb tag on the door.

What bait was set? You make it seems like it's that hard for someone to do their job and not mess with your ****. C'mon, bruh.

Nah. You paid good money to stay at a hotel. You expect a level of privacy when you have a strange person come clean your room. Just cuz your **** is out in the open doesn't give free reign for a cleaner to look through it.

They are there to upkeep the room. That's what they're paid for. Not to be nosy.

Funny how people are looking at the guy who set up the camera as the person who did something wrong. :smh:

You look like Suge Knight on the low.

Think about it

My man said think about it. Well good friend, I broke a couple of brain cells contemplating that and yes, I agree that I fit the description.

What she did was wrong period, and she should be fired. Who knows what else shes done in other peoples rooms.

I have two horror stories...

On Vday at 0600 a maid just burst into our room without knocking. (and way too early for cleaning hours) When she came in she didnt even act like it was a mistake or get out immediately. She stood in the doorway for an awkward ***** 10 secs. As a result we got a 3 night stay to anyone of their locations plus complimentary champagne and dinner.

when i was in training in a navy hotel. I got out of school early and switched out of my uniform. i left my bank card in my pocket (unexposed and folded) on my bed. Came back and it was missing. All along I thought I lost it. So i cancelled it immediately. Before I could cancel it I had charges for a cigar shop and a hotel reservation on my card. My bank blocked those charges after i reported it. A few days later i come to my room and the compromised bank card is neatly placed on my desk. smh whoever took it brought it back once they couldnt use it anymore. ncis never did anything about it smh except file a claim.
