I miss running. I have runners knee in both of my kness, it happened after I ran a half marathon.

I actually run in a pair of air max 97 plus'. Surprisingly they don't kill my feet but I know I could do better. It's crazy that some of this stuff is so expensive for an activity that is free

I hate Nike running equipment.

Invest in some Asics running gear. They have never failed me and to me are the best bang for your buck if your not trying to look all flashy while running.

In :pimp:

Helping a friend train for a marathon. Don't know what week we're in but we're doing 10 miles runs as of now. Long way to go but feels good

I have under armor thermal tights (Obv gonna wear shorts over top)

For running in the snow, I have yaktrax pro to prevent me from slipping and dying on ice

I busted my knees in the military so I'm stuck with cycling. I cycle in nike running stuff since its cheaper that cycling gear and can be worn out side of running w/o looking OD out of place.

I'm all about the Vomeros for training. They're built like goddamned tanks, but their cushioning is unreal.

And the OG Lunarracer is the goat racing flat. God do I miss Lunarlite.
Vomeros are

All my bro uses along with lunar glides (He does long distance)

Currently using lunar racers

Beat my flyknit racers to death

Never liked Pegasus or Frees
I'm guessing any Nike running shoes you like but in their Shield version?

Any tips for breathing in colder weather? I find it harder to breathe and end up pushing myself so I end up getting tired quicker

For mde, ab/core work becomes more of a focus with cold weather along with how I eat. The better shape my abs/core are in the easier it is for me to control my breaths, & well nutrition is just important period to fuel your body properly. When I give people tips about running I ALWAYS preach about controlling your breaths through your stride first & foremost, those are my 2 biggest factors that I find have a direct impact. Slow down on some of your runs if you need to just so you can control your breaths that much more as your lungs get adjusted to the cold, then pick it back up after a couple of runs.

I'm not an expert/professional runner or anything but I like to act like I am & pass along my tips lol. I hope that helps

Im going to take it easy on the next couple runs to get adjusted. Thanks

Glad this thread was made. At the peak of my obsession I ran around 60-75 miles per week when I did it in high school. Its been years but there is always so much to learn when it comes to running.

I have a love/hate relationship with running

I seem to run better during the night, anyone else feel that way?

People "peak" in energy level at different times during the day. Depends of sleeping and eating patterns. It's like when the Stars align so to speak

Im thinkin of getting a jacket for winter runs cuz i hate having to constantly wash hoodies and sweaters.

Wat do yall use.

Man most running jackets suck really. They're made like plastic rain coats and don't do anything. I'd stick with the hoodies.

Under Armor, thermal, hoodie = you're good to go

I read a story a few years back in Runners World that touched on this. I think they said almost everyone feels faster at night/early morning basically because the darkness  makes gauging distance more difficult, so your usual cues for distance and pace are out of sync. I could be making this up, but I am pretty sure that was the gist of  it.

I usually don't buy the running jacket for warmth, I buy it to stop the wind and rain. Plus, I usually over heat in a hoddie, then I'm sweating like a mother and the sweat starts freezing. Jacket + Half-zip or long tee is the way to go.
