What earphones/headphones do you guys use? I'm looking to get the Powerbeats 2 Wireless

Definitely going to start running more often. I used to be a strictly weight lifting kind of guy and use running as a warmup but I want to take it more seriously.

For a beginner like me, are there are sites or books you guys would recommend me? I know form is a big thing and can minimize the damage you're doing to your knees and joints.

The biggest thing for me is the pain associated with it. Playing basketball for a very long time hasn't done my joints any favors.

Also, I'll be joining in on the #NTRunning movement on IG as well. If you get a follow from @jacincm, give me a follow back. I already followed illustrayt tonighr :pimp:

Also downloaded the Nike + app for my iPhone as well. I like the coach feature. Going to give the 5k training program a try. My ultimate goal is to just have a good cardiovascular health and a high level of stamina, something I lacked my entire life.

Don't know why it's taken me so long to find this thread but I'm here now.

Just gone and followed a couple of you with #NTRunning in your Instagram posts.

Peep the pic of the book I posted a few pages back. "The Running Revolution". I think it was rec'd by another member from this thread so shoutouts to whoever that was.

I use these MEElectronic AF16s... They fit similar to the Apple earphones, and they sound decent, especially for the price...

WELL DAMB! The Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare SOLD OUT on the first day of registration! The 10K sold out too, but the 1/2 is still open at 80%...

Yeah rundisney races are super popular and expensive.

I look at them more as novelty races. I say that because I'd say more than half of the people who sign up for them aren't really runners and really aren't athletes.I did The Avengers half last November and saw to many people walking most of the race and stopping to take selfies and group pics through out the race course.

And yeah if you do a race at Disneyland or Disney World be prepared to drop at least $500 to close to $1000 bucks for that whole trip because you know you'll end up getting a park hopper ticket to visit Disneyland after the race, airplane tickets, hotel fees, buying merchandise, food, gas, parking, etc.

I'll give them credit though their race finisher medals are DOPE :pimp:

With that being said I signed up and got into the Dumbo Double Dare :D

It sold out in less than an hour and you had to be in front of your computer and logged into active.com to register right when it started at 9AM PST.

If you ever dealt with and tried buying tickets to San Diego Comic Con. It's on that same stress level when trying to sign up and getting into a rundisney race :smh:

Once a Runner. It will make you want to go out and start training for the olympics. Also Duel in the Sun, is perhaps the best account of the greatest marathon ever (Boston '82). Also I haven't posted my training in ages. 105 last week, with two workouts and a 20 mile long run. Less than two months till marathon

I'm doing my first half on March 7. I'll post my medal when I get back. I'll be wearing that thing draped in a Maryland flag putting on for my state.

Anyone tried the Nike structure 18s?

Best upper every on a nike runner
Can't wait till they use it for more
But mainly only for you if you are a heel striker :-/

So due to my track running, didn't pick them up. Need that upper on a different outter sole

I ran track too.. But I'm a sprinter or at least I was..

I get lazy on form when I'm running longer distances.. So I go to a mid or heel striker.. But I do over pronate with my right leg, so I stick with stability shoes

Had earlier versions of the structures.. And my noosa 8s are now dying on me

I did a run analysis and im a mid foot striker. My lower backs been sore lately, could it be bad running form? I already put a hiatus on deadlifting for my back to feel better.

I'd recommend signing up for a Rock N Roll marathon series race.

They are easily the biggest organizer here in the US, Canada, Mexico, and do some races in other countries. The usually offer a 5k, 10K, half & full at the races they organize.

They aren't as expensive as like run disney. Just keep in mind though that all race organizers always have an additional service charge of like $10 bucks at the very end of registering and paying for a race.

Rock N Roll marathon series tour pass 3 pack is pretty good price at $199 for 3 races and you can choose to run any of their races in North America for that year.

Wish Sole Review was more timely with the reviews. Would love to see their take on the Flyknit Lunar 3, Adidas Ultraboost, etc.

I think it takes a while because they have to buy the shoes themselves when it comes out and it takes time to test them out.

Their reviews would be more timely if companies sent them the products for free and in advance.

That sucks. Meanwhile you have "ballers" getting basketball Sigs in advance.

They need to get on their hustle and parlay relationships with ASICS, Nike, Adidas, Brooks, Saucony (so), etc.

Like I've read runners world reviews and feel like they're below Sole Review.
