Routine Trip Turns Fatal as a Man Is Pushed in Front of a Subway Train

This happens all the time in NYC :smh:

Haven't read the article, but I remember speaking to an NYPD about how when this happens, the train will have you squeezed against the ledge, crushing your lower half. When the train moves, you're done.

So they have to bring in priests and family members to say goodbye to the victims while they're stuck to the edge of the platform :smh:

Didn't the scumbag Daily News or New York Post run a cover photo of a guy's last moments as a train was coming for him?

Sorry about your friend's dad man. It's disgusting and psychotic behavior. That's why I never stand close to the ledges at the subway, and I advise others to do the same.

Very ****** up man.. RIP. I definitely need to be cognizant of this, never even crossed my mind to think about this while waiting for a train. :smh:

I thought I'd given up hope on the world, this this shocks me, man. The fact that someone would actually do this to another person... **** just saddens me, man.

RIP to this man.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hate when senseless acts of crime happen. I feel for his wife and son. And also the witnesses. Some things cannot be unseen.

My pops takes the train every morning to work, this is one thing im scared of.

People are crazy :smh: . RIP

This is why I stand in the middle of the platform. Its scary that people would pull a scumbag move like that forreal

:smh:

RIP to the guy, saw something randomly on twitter about it and photo of the guy who did it. disgusting

i gotta remember if i ever go to NY and go on the subway to stand very far away... sad

RIP to the victim and condolences to family and friends.

Im always afraid of this and thats why you have to stand in the middle. The train will get there. And there are people like this who want to commit harm.

Life long NY'er. Lot of scumbags in this city. Gotta be careful.

This is sad as hell, my condolences to your friend.

What lead up to the push?

What could of been soo serious you push a man in front of a train?

A close friend of mine works for the mta and showed me 2 pics of people who died from jumping on the train tracks. Nastiest thing I have ever scene ever. :smh:

Condolences to the family

To you New Yorkers, has the city ever brought up the idea of installing guard rails or would that be another problem?

Probably nothing. People literally do it for ***** and giggles and because they likely won't get caught

Idk about the legislative side of things, I've never heard of this being talked about, but logistically speaking, installing guard rails in thousands of subway platforms would require massive time, resources, and overall inconvenience to commuters due to the way MTA platforms are set up now. They're just wide open spaces because hundreds of people need to pack into the trains within maybe a 15 second window, if even that with some of these conductors. Guard rails would make it seriously difficult for these hundreds of commuters to jump on a train at once.

I actually just found out about this last night and I live right down the block.
It's crazy.
I'm about to start waiting upstairs til I know the train has fully stopped for me to go down stairs and get in.
**** a seat!

Very sad and very scary that someone would do something like that to someone for no reason on purpose.
