Does anyone remember "Sky Jordans" as a kid?

I remember when I was little, there were "Air" Jordans and "Sky" Jordan.

I specifically remember my mom buying me the "Sky" Blk/Infrared 6s because she didn't wanna pay $90 for the Air bubble lol

Anybody else remember these or have pics????

Nike used to have / use differently worded descriptions for the size ranges on the Jordan line...

As I recall Adult and Grade School sizes were "AIR JORDAN"...Preschool was "SKY JORDAN"...Toddler was "BABY JORDAN"...Infant/Crib was "First Jordan"...

I remember Sky Jordans. But I wasn't into shoes like that back then. More into video games and toys. Instead of worrying about colorways of Air Jordans, I was more concerned with why Air Jordan wasn't in NBA Jam (still mad about that).

I thought about this recently, for the price my mom paid for Genesis and Super NES games a month, I could've have easily had every model in every color. Just wasn't concerned with that kind of thing until junior high. I did have a pair of Aquas as a kid though.

My first pair of Jordans in 1985 were Sky Jordan 1's. Black, white and red. I was 9 so they were not pre-school size.

That's because with the Jordan 1 all non-adult sizes were labeled as "Sky-Jordan"...

So to add to what I posted earlier..."Sky" was used by Nike on Jordan's simply because they didn't have air unit's in them...Simple as that...How it was used through the various models was a little bit of a toss up and didn't really have any set pattern...It did sometimes include grade school sizes but as it was transitioned out with the VII it covered only preschool sizing...VIII was the first model to not use it, but of course the box labeling for the VIII was a mess anyways (That's a topic for another thread)...
