HBO: "Westworld"...Cancelled After 4 Seasons

By the way, this show is already way more interesting than GoT. GoT seemed like a chore from the beginning because of all the books, and the disconnect if you didn't read them. I watch GoT, but somewhat reluctantly because everyone else does. Westworld is far more intriguing than that nonsense.

You don't have to read the books to enjoy GoT.

If it's not for you, it's not for you. Trying to compare the two is pretty dumb. Especially given GoT has had massive mainstream and critical success.

They purposely changed plot points so people who watch the show don't need to read the books

^ they cut some characters from the books for the show, which you assume was done to cut a lil bit of the confusion since they already got a ton of characters..

And then certain actions that where done by other characters in the books were given to main characters to keep them more involved

Also the show was pacing ahead of the books.. granted there are some things I think they should have stayed to that would have significantly helped season 5, which I think is easily the weakest season to date (and is clearly where they lost the training wheels of the books)

I watched the 3 episodes. Interesting show. Was expecting to see a lot more savage and uncomfortable stuff but it seems like we'll see some of that stuff later on. Right now it's a lot of shooting and violence.

Funny seeing that guy from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia being a good guy in this wild world.

I hadn't read the books the first time I watched GoT. I don't think it made the show less enjoyable or thought there was a disconnect.

And why does it matter if anyone else watches it or not. Just wondering.

This is KILLING ME! I'm the biggest always sunny fan IN THEEE WORLD so it's almost impossible to separate him from Mcpoyle. If he raises his voice once, I'm gonna lose my sheit

I never read any ASOIAF novel.

Loved the show instantly.

You have the books, you can enjoy them.

you don't need the books to enjoy GOT.. but I would recommend keeping something handy early on to help with names..

but after watching, that will make you interested in the books and getting a better understand of what is going on.. just get deeper into that world

Margaret McPoyle should be one of the host prostitutes.

I saw that one of the less known hemsworth brothers is on this show. Didn't realize he was the head of security guy. I wonder if him and that programming chick who is annoyed by him will angry bang. Or she's just into host chicks kissing Clementine.

Waiting for bandit xerxes and that bawse scar face blonde to show up again and blast people.

I feel they picked him so we can watch him indulge in to depravity and become a savage

His brother in law is always telling him to enjoy himself since his wife was probably riding on some robot d when she's there. As things progress his friend will be telling him to stop simping on Dolores yambs. He'll be plotting to get rid of teddy everyday.

Hahaha! Son I knew he reminded me of someone...they all sort of act the same too

Really digging the show so far. It's led to some

discussions with friends regarding how much we would pay for our own private host to take home, who we would want to model them after, etc. I think I'd pay a few thousand for one that was customized exactly how I'd want her to look. You'd really never have to leave your house after getting one of these. It would be a great time but I'd likely lose all my real friends.

Mcpoyle was on that show Hap and Leonard, also with Omar. Was a good show actually, suggest anyone who missed it check it out. Was on IFC iirc.

It's practically the ultimate level of gaming....like what we currently have now is practically playing with marbles in comparison....this ever becomes a reality, best believe the social aspect of life goes out the window....women would lose a lot of power they have over men too, they would actually have to put an effort forth to attract men with their personality because the physical is easily safe and accessible
