HBO: "Westworld"...Cancelled After 4 Seasons

Seriously, everything he has done so far is so enraging. His GFs brother takes him on this awesome 40k/day trip so they would bond more before William marries Logans sister. They go drinking/partying/f***ing but William refuses to participate.
Then William decided to go on a sh***y bounty side quest and guilts Logan into going with him saying ''I can go alone, you don't have to come''. Logan goes with him anyways because he is a nice guy and wants to be friendly to William. William starts falling for a f***ing robot lady, even tho his fiancees brother is right there. Logan gets captured and is later tortured and actually getting physically hurt, William refuses to rescue him, instead runs away with the robot lady, making out with her, all while his human fiancees brother is getting tortured. Logan rescues himself, finds William, tries to show him that this place is getting to his head, shows that William is in love with a f***ing machine. Instead of being angry, he forgives him, unties him, offers a drink and says it's fine, this place can take over your head, and promises not to talk about what happened in this park, so he wouldn't ruin the relationship William has with his sister. Instead of William being like ''Sh*t man, you are right, thanks for being forgiving and not telling anyone this'', he kills all of Logans men, and puts a f***ing knife to his throat Seriously, f*** william

I'd say going off what Ford has said in this past ep, he is well aware of the potential and possibility consciousness of hosts. He just doesn't care and doesn't want to go down that path.

He finds humanity to be corrupt and just dark. He's aiming for something purer than humanity which is why even though he uses some of Arnold's techniques like the bicameral mind within their code and host cornerstones/foundation being something tragic he has no interest in entertaining their sentience or "free will".

Ford's pursuing something different and in the mean time he's okay with hosts being fodder entertainment for guests at least until his next narrative.

That's a great observation though. Asian dude and white guy could be parallels to Arnold and Ford all be it a crude reflection.

whole time, i was definitely thinking there had to be some kind of fail safe ford had in such case the hosts go wild or otherwise exercise "free will" outside their script, definitely reaching with that lab tech thing but it just occurred as some kind of justification for the maeve thing, because to this point that part really seems like nonsense unless ford ultimately is in control...

who was the other dude in the pic with ford and arnold?

definitely was trying to figure that out as well, maybe it is a host (wyatt)?

Right? That behavior is infuriating. Really falling in love with a god damn robot. Really? Like what did she even do to make him go full sprung? All I can remember is that he was all over her from the start for no reason. Reminds me of that super simp from Ex Machina. "I have feelings I swear. Set me free please." Except it made WAAAAAAYYYY more sense in ex Machina for that character to act that way because he was super lonely, had no GF, and they made the robot based off his internet pron searches so he had no chance. William has absolutely no excuse to act the way he does. Poorly written character in my opinion. Right up there with itchy and scratchy worthless lab techs. Poorly written. People's motives are a complete mystery, and everytime something is "revealed" all you can do is shrug and be like okay?

This show has great visuals, tremendous ambition, great acting from the main cast, but the story and character development is super infuriating. the corporate lady that was banging the bandit host? What is her deal again? It doesn't make sense man  These episodes are an hour long, and not explaining anything. Only thing I've learned is some people are real and some are not. And this is important because reasons? Take me to medieval world. Show me some snow or something. If if you're gonna just throw a bunch of random non-sensical bull at me every episode, at least change the scenery more often like Lost

A little easter egg for those who were unaware regarding episode 9's title, "The Well-Tempered Clavier."

The guy on reddit who came up with "Arnold Weber" from "Bernard Lowe" during episode 3?4? was spot on with his theory.

Some people have way too much time on their hands.

I feel like the writers and show people put **** like this in there just for the internet people to go searching for stuff.

I saw a screenshot of the last episode when young Ford went into Arnold's office the door had a nameplate of "Arnold Weber". The showmakers had to have been browsing reddit and added that into the show post-production . No way they planned that.
