"On a late October night in 2007, 20-year-old Connie Lear was playing cards and drinking with friends at an apartment complex just outside Austin, Texas, when she caught her fiance playing footsie under the table with another woman. Lear stormed out; her fiance followed her to the parking lot, where they got into a shouting match. Neighbors called the police.

Among the cops who arrived at the scene was Jimmy Lewis Fennell, Jr., a 34-year-old police sergeant with the Georgetown, Texas, Police Department. Lear’s fiance was handcuffed and taken into custody by other officers, leaving her alone with Fennell. “I said, where are they going?” Lear recalls, “And I started crying at this point.” Fennell assured her that her fiance was not under arrest; he was merely being taken to a nearby hotel to calm down and sober up. But “I kept throwing a fit and raising hell,” Lear recalls, “and finally Fennell said, ‘well I’ll take you to him then.’”

But that’s not where they went. Instead, Fennell pulled into a well-lit public recreation area. They got out, and Fennell slammed Lear up against the back of his squad car and held her down. He took off his duty belt and laid it on the trunk, calmly pointing out each of the weapons and tools he carried with him. “Then he took his gun, removed it…[and] laid it on the trunk against my head,” she said. “And he raped me.”

When he was finished, Fennell made a threat: if she ever dared to report what happened, and if he ever went to prison for it, when he got out he would hunt her down and kill her. He then drove Lear back to the apartment complex where he gave her his business card and said he would be back to see her again — the next evening, in fact, after his kid’s soccer game."

Well it is Texas after all,

this is sad as hell tho, whats scary is you think of all the poor souls who have probably been wrongfully put to death.

It seems like ever few months we hear about these types of stories where the DA and investigators are lazy bums that enjoy playing pin the conviction on the ******.

I swear It's always a black face that has unjustly been accused too.

But blacks take up majority of the prison population.  They need to do a race stat on cases like this and overturned cases due to DNA discovery.

Damn the white girl in the first part of the story is kinda cute
She looks like she likes black dudes
Tragic story though

What.. what.. if he's guilty doe

Dont't want someone like that walkin the street

This is so upsetting, because there is nothing we can do, but sit & watch him die. Our justice & peace keeping systems are so broken

Been knew this, evidence all around. Cannot put trust in the government. The lack of effort in this case is disgusting. And all the cover ups for this officers heinous crimes but quick to pin it on a black man without thorough enough investigation. Damn shame.

Wrong

The cops a POS that deserves to burn for abusing his power so horribly. As for reed, i guess ill be the one to say it, it does sound like he's innocent in THIS case but dudes been accused of multiple sexual assaults so how idk how much of an innocent victim he could be.

To those of you unfamiliar with what agenda TX is on... consider this,

Texas Board of Education

(Keep in mind that most of the BOE members send their kids to private schools)

tried to include the following into public textbooks.
  • Moses as a founding father.
  • Move slavery to the 3rd reason on what caused the Civil War
Luckily, the work of The Freedom Network helped remove much of the bs.
