Don Lemon Gives Bill Cosby Rape Accuser Tip for Not Getting Raped

It's pretty easy to disregard the opinions someone who has such little regard for others. It shows your opinions don't matter

This has probably been touched on, but I was DYING when I heard "I didn't go to the police because I didn't think anyone would believe me."

Gotta love that line man

say he was going to hurt you "check"

say he would ruin your career "check"

It's like clockwork.. I tell ya.

So they canceled all cosby shows for good.. Man women can bring you down

TV Land will stop airing reruns of "The Cosby Show,"

Thread is garbage...

I wouldn't be surprised if some of you corny mogs took advantage of unconscious broads...

Sick.

Cbs pulled his new unaired sitcom.

Tvland pulled his reruns.

Netflix is also involved somehow.

Not sure if they are pulling all the movies he's inor what.

I think this is a little ridiculous now.

Shame on them, these networks should be running marathons for my guy Bill

^^^^^ so u know for a fact he did it?

The court of public opinion is 1,000,000,000,000-0 in the win/loss column

You're right, I should of have been in the room when these things took place to make such an assumption. Like I said shame on these networks, they should be honoring Bill for all his work. Shame on these women for trying to tarnish a old man's name so late in his life but -Ye shrug MJ, OJ, Kobe, R. Kelly, Dan Schneider, etc didn't do anything either

The fascination with celebrities 1,000,000,000,000,000-0

agreed. cosby show is still the truth tho. thread is useless at this point. only people who know the truth are the cosby and the accusers. and that will never change.

In addition, in a statement to Det. Jose McCallion of the Manhattan Special Victims Bureau, police insiders previously claimed she said she “had been invited by Cosby to his home for dinner. The victim said that after dinner Bill Cosby came over to her, and started touching her. He fondled her breasts. She was shocked and didn’t know what to do. Then he tries to put his hands down her pants.”

Cosby’s spokesman David Brokaw said, at the time, that while the two had had dinner, “He denies that anything inappropriate happened.”

What’s more, Cosby insisted: “It’s not true.”

Cops referred her complaint to the D.A., but they declined to prosecute.

How so? You'd probably lose your job if you were accused of sexually assaulting 15 women.

From the business side, repeatedly airing those shows sends the message that you aren't appalled by Cosby's actions. Also, why would you want public opinion of one man to manifest itself in boycotts and lower ratings? The networks that severed ties with Cosby at least had the balls to do what A&E didn't have the balls to do with Duck Dynasty.

And watch TV Land's ratings plummet because of this.

Im saying, they've been running his reruns for years.

Nothing new has changed.

No new allegations, no new accusers.

Nobody has given a **** for years but cuz we are now in a society full of fake out cries and with people with an internet voice who act like they wrote the book of morals, its perfect time to hang this man.

Im not saying he's innocent or not, i also dont think anyone else can but the justice system.

Funny how some of yall are ready to "hang" and "kiill" these "animals" in some cases, then in otheres "you need to hear the other side before making a judgement "

Inb4 "I hate women" accusations.

Let's be real... You can be brutally honest on this forum because there are no repricussions to what you say.

Y'all know DAMB well the woman gets the benefit of the doubt by a majority of the population.

Women will largely side with her, and dudes that don't want to come off as pigs or want to coddle women will do so also, even before evidence is presented.

Y'all need to stop pretending like this forum is indicative of public opinion all the time.

Forcing women, hitting women, and doing anything to women is a touchy subject because we still hold "women are innocent of any wrongdoing" idea in our society.

Now, I'm not saying he did or didn't... She tried to give her story awhile back, so there might be some truth to it.

But let's calm this whole "women don't know how to play the game" nonsense because MANY women know their power.

The point is if there are 15 women accusing a man of rape dating back 30 years ago the first thing you say shouldn't be

"women love playing the rape card"
"they must of regretted having sex with him"
"they love playing the game"

This context doesn't call for that type of response. We are not talking about a white girl who got caught with a black man by her racist father and cried rape let's be serious here.

Honest question.

Why wasn't anything done then?

Wht are we waiting decades later to act like we're appalled?

This must be the longest late reaction in history.

Why didt CBS and other networks take this stand last year?

We can compare the amount of rape prosecutions when these allegations started to today and see how big or small the margin is.

My assumption is that it was a different day and age back then. This is a new era of women now  they have more people to back them up

What makes you think victims of rape or sexual abused do not have the courage to go the police or are too scared to? Some go into shock after the attack and fault themselves for it happening. It psychologically and physically damages you inside out.

According to a 2000 study the Department of Justice, fewer than 5% of college women who suffered completed or attempted rapes reported it to law enforcement. Almost a quarter of rape victims who did not report it said they were afraid of being treated with hostility. Twenty-seven percent said they thought police wouldn't think it was serious enough.

The process is grueling to go through to relive it over and over and experts say sex assault victims often stay silent for a myriad of reasons: out of fear, due to very low conviction rates, emotional trauma, fear of authority and even lack of clarity of what constitutes sexual assault. Even those who do come forward, taking action against an alleged assailant is not easy and many times police will tell you that they do not have substantial evidence to press charges. Most of the time, the justice system is set up to protect the rights of the accused. Even to comb through if the crime meets the threshold of being a crime at all, there's lots of humiliation, degradation, misogyny that don't meet the definition of a crime.

Then if they ever the justice system, there's revictimization, since observers might raise questions about what they were wearing, how much they were drinking and how hard they tried to ward off sexual advances.
It is not your place to judge rape and sexual assault victims for remaining silent. It is a horrible process.

That's why instead of trying to tell women don't get raped, we need to teach do not rape and provide more education on sex assault victims to also lessen rape victim shaming.

Such a touchy subject......

One of my friends and I had a convo and we both agreed that most of the women we messed with claimed to have been raped before.
