It dawned on me that the albums anniversary is tomorrow and I started listening to it, and every time I do I pose myself this question. As much as I "Stan" for this guy, I understand the fact that one of his albums has to be deemed the worst and I honestly think its this one.

The funniest thing about it, is that when it dropped there was no Jay Z album I listened to more, it was basically round the clock with this thing, I may have played the title track like 500 times by mid December. It has a lot of good songs on it IMO, in fact Hollywood and Momma I Made It are the only two songs I dont really mess with, but it doesnt have the strength his other albums have. I still think its a good album, but definitely the worst Jay Z album.

Thoughts? If you think its another album I would love to hear why.

Definitely man..that album was a huge disappointment. I remember when I first got the CD and how amazing that intro was. Then each song after that was a let down with the exception of Beach Chair and probably one or two other songs. Remember Dig a Hole?! That **** was awful man.

As for American Gangster....Hell no. That was a great album; one of that years best.

:smh: at knowing the anniversary for this ****** album

Only listen to The Prelude off this now

44 Fours should have been a bonus track on regular cds instead of just being on the limited vinyl version

All jays albums are garbage, trash, basura, bunz................except the blueprint, 3/4ths of the black album a 1 song on the dynasty(the intro of course)
Jay a snake
And a bum

...while I'll agree, Magna Carter wasn't bad, the Black Album was solid. Reasonable Doubt is decent.

when I seen this I literally almost wanted to yell at my computer like daaaafffiiiillllqqqq!? On some Bill cosby slurring words.
But agree. Kingdom come was the worst album in my opinon. my order.

American Gangster
Reasonable doubt
blueprint
black album but its a toss up between the gift and the curse.

Beach chair was a solid song... i always wonder if blue ivy was a test tube baby to make sure jay had a girl because of this song

American Gangster was hard to me when it dropped but it took me a couple years to really appreciate it

Sweet, American Dreamin, Say Hello, Party life , & Success are in his top 20 songs

I don't think it's trash, it was just underwhelming. Can't front on a couple tracks though, especially the Prelude, one of the greatest intros I've ever heard (conveniently behind the Stillmatic Intro), and also Lost Ones, Dig A Hole, Minority Report and 30 Something. Wish I could kind that post I made placing the best songs from Kingdom Come and Blueprint 3 on one album. Now that would be a great album.

This album came out 8 years ago today, gotta let it play out at least once today
