Their job is pretty much hoping that thieves will comply and be intimidated/feel guilty enough to succumb to an LP person. At Walmart, they clearly tell you in training that you cannot touch a suspected thief, the most you can do is place a hand on their cart and attempt to get them to stay put, but if they decide to push past you, then there's nothing you can do about it. The LP guy in the story was clearly out of line and it sounds like he just wanted some action :lol: :smh:

BUT AT WALMART, MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW, YOU DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO SHOW YOUR RECIEPT WHEN YOU LEAVE THE STORE WHEN THEY ASK.

Usually I tell them No or screw off and keep walking past depending if they trying to act like I have to.

I never had a problem besides a puzzled look on their face

I bought a Vizio TV from their, person at the door ask me for receipt and I told him you can't see, it's my receipt my business and kept walkkng

She did her job and ignored me and I kept walking

Your receipt is your property, what's in your cart is your property and nobody have the right to search it

I just don't understand the point of the extra effort.

When I worked in a grocery store I would watch people walk out with carts full of groceries with no hesitation. Wasn't mine, I still got my checks, and couldn't have possibly cared less.

I hate thieves probably more then the people claiming they hate them as well, but I'd really like to ask dude what his justification was for taking things this far. Why risk his little $10/hr job just to stop some gross beluga whale looking chick?

I don't get it. And man, that camera lady was mad annoying.

Pretty disgusting bc ppl can steal anything and anytime they want. Use counterfeit bills and you can't call em out on it either. You can stall and try to make em feel uncomfortable but if they keep trying to use it you gotta accept it

*as far as the video, dude took things too far as it wasn't his responsibility to detain the suspect. However, I have more of an issue with the person stealing than the guy who took his job too seriously.

I remember I was at this one grocery store in the hood, this older guy loaded up the cart with a few bags of meat and kept pushing. It was family owned so them Chaldeans was on it and tried to chase after dude...Bruh that **** reminded me of the how many ppl would it take to beat a silverback thread because he beat alllll they ***. He laid about 4 ppl out while the rest just looked on scared for their ppl.

That witness recording and talking needed o mind her business though. She should've got 8 balled

Glad the heffer stealing got charged though.

What appaled me was the lack of accountability towards the heffer by her family though. Its as if they totally disregarded their relative is a common thief and made their family look bad and only wanted to focus on the Walmart employee.

How hard is it to say, "I'm upset with how the wal mart employee responded but I'm disgusted that my niece is stealing as well"

Very poor family structure on their part and that lack of accountability is a bad look. Shes probably not the only criminal in the family.

Coming from someone that has worked part time in lp for years know your rights. First off retail chains are insured of their merchandise. If someone stops you all you have to do is keep it moving. No one is allowed to touch you. You never chase after anybody your safety comes first. Also remember that isn't your stuff that's being stolen. That lady will win a good 200k in court. Walmart will fire that lp guy and most likely any other that was involved with that apprehension.
