Who is writing this ****. The first season had it's corny/goofy moments but it was still good. This is just a mess.
I felt they are forcing all of this for shock value.
Also, the Jamal Pepsi commercial was super corny

Hakeem turning heel is a great thing for this show. Lucious is a clown that deserved what he gets. Jamal is a clown too. Next episode he'll challenge Alicia Keys to a rap battle and start dancing and singing. Anika is an idiot that no one loves. No one cares about her or clown show Hakeem's seed. Andre is my dude and I hope him and the shady preacher destroy Cookie and Lucious.

Lets be honest , Empire is pure entertainment. That's all. Its not a critically acclaimed prime time show or anything like that. The show is something to watch and laugh at. I think if your searching for anything deeper than that you will be highly disappointed. That's the reason I watch it.

Empire isn't really a sucking and jiving type of show though.
It's everything else people say (overly dramatic, cheesy, all over the place, ect.), but to me shucking and jiving means they're selling out in some type of way and this show doesn't do that.

What nonsense? You act like Empire is the only show in television that has such drama. Have you not seen any other tv on during prime time? We get it , you don't like the show. The show is entertainment. I watch it but let's be honest this show does push stereotypes. You got the gay son, the turn up/wild/thug son, the son that married a white women to help his career. Taraji is the sassy black mama. Terrance is the former drug dealer turned rapper. Nobody on here is just a normal black person. Everything is extreme. Season 1 was good, this season was trash. I might catch the first 2 episodes of the next season just to see where it goes but that might be it.
