NBC employee claims Bill Cosby paid off women, invited young models to dressing room.

I would LOVE to be wrong about Cosby because that would mean that there are 40+ women who aren't the victims of a sex crime.
Are you actually admitting that there is a difference between accusing someone of rape, and then accusing someone of committing a sex crime?

You do know the difference!

I think your problem is that you believe the only type of rape is forcible rape

Rape is like homicide, there are different types.

What bill Cosby did was rape

Mood indigo remind of that NTer years ago who would inbox everybody with a female in their avy asking for the digits. Delusional.

I think that your problem, and the rest who are stuck on this term, is that you do not seem to understand that instead of rape, that this may be considered sexual assault as well.

Why are dudes defending cosby?

There's a plethora of pretty much irrefutable incriminating evidence.

Rape is a crime that comes 2nd only to child abuse/molestation.

Playing devils advocate on this one is not a good look.

Is it a fact that we don't know for a fact that he had sex with these women? Yes, but it's a moot point. I'm the first to not condemn a man until the facts are sorted out but COME ON. Rational thinking and common sense if applied here makes the truth pretty obvious.

Maybe I missed something. What damming evidence is there proving that he did it? Not being argumentative, just haven't been keeping up.

Rape is a from of sexual assault

He sexually assaulted and raped these women, no one is denying he sexually assaulted them

If Bill forced himself and groped these women, he would have sexually assaulted them but not raped them.

Rape is the more appropriate word because sexual assault is too vague of a term.

You guys are arguing semantics at this point

30+ women publicly claiming he drugged and raped them...

deposition over a rape accusation whereh admitted to purchasing drugs (the same drugs the women's symptoms coincide with) to use for sex with women...

NBC executives and managers sending notices to employees to keep young interns away from him (back in the 70's and 80's)

NBC worker stating how he would seclude certain women into a locked room

Multiple unnamed women testifying that he did the same to them, but they don't want to be public about it

etc.

boy is done

Not to mention one of his accusers was willing and ready to give him the P and he STILL dosed her. He's a sick individual

Watch people try to deflect these facts doe

How can you deflect that?? I dont think thats what it is about for everybody.

With all this "damning" evidence... he should be in cuffs in under the cell by now, right?

When or If charges are brought, this is a slam dunk win for the prosecution, right?

We all can agree in the court of public opinion, dude is guilty. But if they cant prove that by law and jury... and nothing happens to Cosby outside of some civil suits, then what? How do we make sense of it? Being that the "facts" we know are all truthful?

[thread="612558"]How did you qualify that Chuck D is worried about protecting Cosby's legacy? Why do you think that his perspective is rooted in that pursuit?[/thread]

You are the one that compared Chuck D to Ja Rule and Flavor Flav, i did nothing but recognize your comparison.
No way Im defending Cosby. But this wiping history out wit a swoop is akin to Nazi book burning.Context is everything.PhilSpector still plays - chuck d

ok... i will accept your interpretation of his comments to be an attempt to protect Cosby's legacy.

I however interpret his comments as an attempt to make an act make sense. I took it as him questioning the purpose of removing Cosby's legacy and the desired outcome. Drawing a comparison to others that have suffered the same fate, i thought was showing that it wouldn't accomplish what the act is supposed to.

For example lets say Cosby's legacy is wiped from NBC. But we know and can still state that Cosby made quality television and we can watch it if we want. What did wiping his legacy from NBC accomplish?

How has Cosby been denied due process in anyway doe?
People here are calling him a rapist, and it has not been proven to be either true, nor false.

All that has been levied against him are accusations.

So someone comes here and then expresses objectivity, and then people try and shame an individual into convicting Cosby thru the court of public opinion.

To me Cosby sounds like some sort of sex pervert. Many of you are calling him a rapist.

I disagree until he is convicted of such in a court of law, which hasn't happened.

Wrong.

Convicting someone via public opinion IS denying them their due process.

It is called a public lynching.

Perhaps you should place your ego and smiley faces to the side, and understand that you are indeed wrong.
