Don't know why I'm telling you guys this, bound to get a bunch of ish for it but its the truth..

One of my homies presold a size 9 for 2k..dude has no reason to make this up to me and I have no reason to lie to you guys about this.

No I'm not trying to drive price up.. don't think pairs will go for anywhere close to that in the beginning..maybe in a couple years.. especially if they are numbered.

Take it for what it's worth, once again I have no reason to make this up, just sharing something I thought was bananas.

sounds about right. it was 1k but now with people having to raffle and wait in line, it'll be 2k and up.  i don't know if waiting will drive the price up because they'll probably release more colors

I'm not one to speculate on #s but from what I've heard and seen, #s are going to be close to that 800 (give or take a few hundred pairs) worldwide.

Yes its a 2, but its better than BIN 2s IMO, the rarity is there, quality is there and packaging is ridiculous.

Once DS pairs dry up...cash out...IF  you can afford to hold onto them that long.

im not saying your wrongat all  but what about the Red Octobers that were selling for 10-15k in the first hour after release but now they sit around 3-5k?  don't you think this release would be the same?  I feel like the new sneaker heads are about having the hype shoe now instead of later.

I think resale will sit around 8-1200. Not many people have 2k to blow on kicks, so I doubt they'll sell at that price. Best bet is to wait it out if you strike out on release day. Time to get the popcorn ready!

I think part of the big factor with ROs was the fact that they "weren't" supposed to release with how everything panned out between Ye & Nike.. people somehow got their hands on legit pairs that were produced and ate off em..

In regards to that 10k-15k..are you talking about before they ever released? Cuz right when they dropped pepole were getting 5-6 tops.

The people that know what they're doing when it comes to selling sneakers will always hold onto pairs like this.. rarity itself will only drive price up..look at all DBs for example.

oh, i thought I saw some RO's bidding up around 10-15k but the buyers probably didn't end up paying.  Anyway's I think you're right.  They'll probably sell in the upwards of around 2k around release day.  Later, the limited DS's left will be much higher.

Why do prices go up after a few months/years, even though the hype is greater during the week of release date? Seems like prices for all shoes are really high on release date then they drop, then after a few months/years they go wayy up

I think you have to wait at least 2 years or more to get a much better resale price. Right now, it's smart to sell by the end of release day because after that the buyer is thinking about the next shoe coming out instead and then the resale price drops.

Hype is way high at first. Hype dies down and another release becomes relevant. Eventually pairs dry up, and so does price.
