Just Don x Air Jordan 2

This is the perfect example of why people should wait. The resell value on these is horrible due to high price. PLUS you've got a lot of wack dudes like this guy that are getting tired of waiting for that "BIG PAY DAY". This dude told me 1.3K firm the first day I texted him. Then the second time, "they went up man, price is like 2.1K on eBay". Then back to 1.3, now he's at $1,075. So if it's so easy to sell them, WHY AREN'T THEY GONE? LMAO. And he's had these pairs since the beginning of January. Broke boys will always jump at the opportunity to say how much money they have. And if you read everything he has said, he's not a real sneakerhead, doesn't even know his product. He's been telling people how "exclusive" they are, but doesn't even know the blue Don's restocked at different boutiques last year. If people cave in to these resellers every time, the prices will always stay high. Anybody knows that you can bargain for better prices on anything. So all the naysayers who are saying "you better cop for 1.2 or 1.3 while they're that price", you're just another hypebeast.

Oh yeah. Youre right. Theyre never going to go back over 1.2.......ever........

In fact, these will be had for close to retail ( jokes )

Give it a couple months nostradamus. We have seen this type of market before.

Who said they won't ever go for 1.2? I didn't catch that in what I typed. They will sell for 1.2K EVENTUALLY, but to pay that price right now is pretty ridiculous. The shoe came out a few days ago, no one knows the real quantity either. Then there is a pending restock. People just let money burn through their pocket too easily nowadays, with no constraint at all. Retail is rare. Finding a good resell price for these is very possible. I guess you want the resale price to be 1.2? LMAO.

I honestly question if either on of you are real sneakerhead, TBH.

1st - You keep saying a pending restock? Like the Fragment 1 restock or the blue Just Don restock, that literally restocked maybe fewer than 50 pairs, just enough to drive the price on them even higher?

2nd - Of course, $2.1K or $1.3K aren't realistic prices, however for every pair sold at $850, there is one sold at $1.2K on eBay.

3rd - You insinuated that these aren't exclusive because "the blue Don's restocked at different boutiques last year"... which means look back at the 1st point. Let's not kid around, they are exclusive.

4th - I honestly haven't seen anyone, at least in this thread say "you better cop for 1.2 or 1.3 while they're that price", simply because they aren't at that price now. Now I've seen people say cop at "$950 - $1050" or $900 is a steal or good deal, because those are true statements. Will these get to $1.2K - $1.3K, most likely but that a few months away. So these hypebeasts you talk about, who are they?

5th - Your looking to call people hypebeasts and broke boys, but from your texts, your looking like a lowballer honestly.

Pending restock, lmao. Do you work for just don or JB, lol

yea to add to that, ya'll either agree or dont, no need to go back and forth via text that long. Sounds like the lowballer who constantly pressures you to agree to their lowball, and in the off chance you do tries to lower the price even more
Wouldn't be surprised if homie was trying to buy at 1.3 k first and then did the 850 once the seller agreed

THE SHOES WILL PROB GRAB GOOD RESALE IN A FEW MONTHS TO A YEAR (DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH JB CONTINUES TO SLIDE) BUT IT DEF ISN'T A LIT RESALE LIKE FOLKS WERE SAYING/HOPING. I DON'T CALL WAITING MONTHS TO A YEAR AS LIT.

a few years back it was almost necessary to wait a few months to a year to see any real money on kicks, now it's the quick flip for the win 99% of the time.

A quick flip for $300-500 profit is a win !! I wouldn't wait months or a year for what another $100-200 profit

Your looking for instant gratification though.

If in 8 months, these go for $1.3K and I copped for $700, I made $600 profit....It's LIT!! Resale profit for $600 2 weeks later, is the same $600 8 months later. You don't buy stocks and bonds looking for them to flip in 2 weeks.  Good things come for those who wait.

PRETTY MUCH, BUT ON THESE IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO WAIT TO GET THE CASH SOME OF THESE PEOPLE WANT.

That's why we probably won't ever see another seller like Corgi.

$600 IN 2 WEEKS IS LIT TO ME. $600 IN 8 MONTHS IS NOT. THE TIME TO WAIT IS TOO HIGH AND THE CURRENT MARKET IS TOO VOLATILE TO RISK. JB IS CURRENTLY IN A SLIDE. IF IT IS GUARANTEED TO INCREASE BY THAT MUCH IN 8 MONTHS THEN OF COURSE THAT IS THE BEST MOVE BUT IT ISN'T GUARANTEED. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE GUYS WHO GOT ONE PAIR AND JUST LIKES TO ADMIRE THEM AS THEY ACCUMULATE VALUE THAN IT DOESN'T MATTER TO WAIT BUT FOR THOSE STRICTLY RESELLING, I PERSONALLY WOULD RATHER HAVE THE ASSURED MONEY NOW VERSUS HOPING FOR LATER.

NOT TO MENTION, EVEN IF SAY THE "VALUE" IS PERCEIVED TO BE $600 MORE IN 8 MONTHS, IF NO ONE IS BUYING IT AT THAT PRICE THEN IT'S WORTHLESS. IT ISN'T WORTH ANYTHING UNTIL IT'S SOLD. SHOES SIT ON FLIGHTCLUB AT THESE HIGH PRICES A GOOD BIT SOMETIMES BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD. SO POTENTIALLY ONE COULD WAIT 8+ MONTHS FOR THE SHOES TO GET TO THE SELLERS PERCEIVED VALUE THEN ANOTHER 8 MONTHS TO ACTUALLY SELL AT THAT VALUE.

I QUICK FLIP A BUNCH OF MY STOCKS AND DO PRETTY WELL WITH THAT.

I have about 18 pairs of DS Jordan's that I haven't worn yet not have I tried to sell. I have the original 9's from 1993 that I've never worn and the sole dry rotted(wish that I could find someone to fix these). I'm guessing that the Don would be another pair to the collection that don't get worn.

I hate this way of thinking and those who get angry about other people selling for less, comical. Perhaps work on your career and you wouldn't have to resort to this.
Yeah...B/c I'm *** broke out here copping packs for 650..Boy hush yo mouth!

Ol sour face *** _ man lol I hope you got a pair talking like that!
by the comments u can easily see who didn't cop and are super salty lol

Logic is twisted up in here.

I know broke boys who live with their parents and drive hoopties but spend their whole month of paychecks on resale..top dollar at that...dropping a G plus on these kicks...

I also know dudes with REAL money that will rarely pay resale...and if they do want a pair bad enough they will negotiate that price as low as possible with lowball offers....

You think dudes came up by throwing their money away?

It boils down to free market capitalism. People will pay what they're comfortable with paying. Some guy with more money than sense will cop from FC just to say he copped from FC. Another guy will bargain and negotiate and finally maybe get a pair for $750 shipped. Neither of them is the norm. The truth is somewhere in the middle. Y'all keep discussing outliers without looking at the future of where the market will stabilize. Simple behavioral economics will put a limited supply item at roughly twice it's initial value in the long run. $1300 is a fair expectation on price. Anything lower would require a massive "pending restock" (   ) and anything higher would require a Kanye sighting.

Nah bro...my guys logic is beyond fried and comes off a bit bitter for whatever reason.

So basically you broke if you don't sell for a low enough price thats comfortable for said

consumer? What type of entitled nonsense is that?

Cake logic 101, my guys a biscuit face..get em outta here!

I never could understand that. I'm foolish for sitting on shoes in hopes that they might go up? That's the same thing I do with the stocks in my investment account. It's called... investing. S/N: Adidas is up 27% since I bought stock back in September. Don't sleep.
