If the hat with this pack had been python then I would have kept it... but Nike hasn't used real snakeskin on anything in years (ever?) so I should have known that wouldn't happen.

Why wouldn't you put it on a CC? I have the funds to buy 2+ packs too...I'll charge it and pay it off before I pay a cent of interest and earn the rewards on it too. Why not make your money work for you too?

Last years cap's (blue, black, red python skins) were much much better.
But looking back, he did he did force ppl to buy the hat from his webstore in order to be able to purchase the shoes. And he did the same in person at RSVP on launch day. Im sure many other boutiques did the same. I recall Kith doing this as well.
We can pretty much thank last years willingness to buy the hats just to purchase the shoe so this time around they were just packaged together. Only diff is, this year we got a plain leather hat from Nike instead of the python skin Don's (hence the cheaper package)

yea I know stores did that but the spots I got mine at did not require this, and at nike lab actually winded up paying 300 plus tax instead of 350 plus tax, so I ain't touch the hat

Same here, wasn't forced. I did pay $350 plus tax though. I think Nike Lab was the only spot to charge the $300.

Oh yeah I know not all places did this but it could be considered as a stepping stone for Nike to just look at how he sold the pairs himself and just add them as a package. Those hats last years werent Nike produced so that was a lost opportunity that Nike capitalized on this time around.
But looking back - Don's has been forcing to buy products to be able to purchase the sneakers since last year. Nothing knew at least from a LA pop up perspective. Ppl shouldve expected that lol

Didnt like last years hat/s, dont like this years but its safe to say last years hats were much better although much more expensive ($650 was retail I think).
Regardless, those who bought by force ended up selling them between $200-350 so it came out to be the same price as this years package.
