Anyone ever been blocked from using Facebook Messages/Messenger?

My idiot friend spammed a group message and we all got temporarily blocked from a bunch of random FB features. I got it the hardest apparently (according to help center, this is a problem) because i had a fake PF pic (buzz lightyear ) and they think i'm a bot.

How long does this last? Never realized how dependent I am on messenger between family, my girl (bad phone service at school), etc.

Oh and their support team is butt. No one answers.

Many people say they aren't even using/downloading the messenger app cuz of some article that says "oh it's invasive to the things in your phone" nonsense
