Has anyone tried to paint flyknit material?

Hey, I was wondering if you can paint any flyknit material. I've got some angelus paints laying around and I kinda want to experiment. I want to paint this partially white:

to resemble something like this

Do you think I can paint it white or do I need to bleach it?
