Kingdom Hearts 3 is certainly a long-awaited sequel, after multiple remakes and remasters have kept the franchise alive since its last proper release - which some fans may be surprised to realize was nine years ago (and it'll be over a decade by the time the game comes out). Since then, there have been a couple of noteworthy purchases that Disney has made that could change the face of the Disney/Square-Enix mashup action RPG series.

Kotaku UK reports that c-director and game designer Tai Yasue told them those purchases, most notably of the Marvel Comics and Star Wars properties, are not considered “off-limits” to them in what they could build Kingdom Hearts 3 from.

”I can’t go into specifics, but there’s a LOT of new Disney stuff and we have our plates full,” said Yasue. “Theres a lot to consider - we’re looking at all of Disney, the new ones as well, they have a lot of pull and draw. They’re all under consideration. Nothing’s off-limits, we’re considering all of the worlds. There are so many wonderful concepts. We’re happy about that, but at the same time it’s really tough to choose.”

Disney Interactive similarly teased that Star Wars characters and concepts could join Marvel and Disney in a future iteration of Disney Infinity, most likely “Disney Infinity 3.0” in 2015. John Vignocchi told Newsarama back in August, “2015 is not so far, far away (emphasis his) anymore, is it?”

A PS4 will not come into my bedroom until KH3, Phantom Pain, and FFXV are out.

It's a shame for all those people who bought a PS3 back in 06 for KHIII though

Until a official release date is announced, I don't believe this game is coming out.
So many push backs for other games and the constant "after we finish Final Fantasy XYZ, Kingdom Hearts is next" That was 7 years ago.

Just constant teasers, video footage and end game snippets (Birth By Sleep was dope tho).

The last one I played was Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS.  I've been waiting for KH3 for the longest.  Kingdom Hearts series is just phenomenal.  It was the first game I really enjoyed that wasn't a turn based RPG idk how I even got the first one maybe by random but I'm so glad I did.  Probably one of my favorite games next to FFX.

Still can't believe a game hasn't dropped for the last gen. Extra hyped for this since Disney now has Star Wars and Marvel to work with. Copping a system once MGS, AK, and KH come out.

Square Enix is a weird company. They take their sweet time making a game. They don't pump out games like
they did during the 90s and 00s.

This game & XV are never dropping. Freakin' XV was suppose to be titled "Versus XIII". These projects are in what we call "Development Hell."

I can see a storyline for Star Wars working within the KH universe, but a true Marvel storyline seems a bit too dark and adult.

At least they havent gone the EA / Activision / Ubisoft route pumping out mediocre bug filled AAA games.
