In general, is Suburbia apathetic to societal issues? Or is just me?

It seems that people who live/from Suburbia are oblivious to societal issues like racial profiling, how people of particular races are targeted, and police harassment. It isn't their fault, they live in a middle-class neighborhood where everyone generally looks like each other so to witness racial profiling or police harassment isn't something that is seen or talked about on a daily basis. When you live in a huge metropolis such as NYC or LA with vast economic disparity to are more prone to see harassment.

When you hear people say "Dont commit crimes and people wont get harassed", ect. It makes you think the intellectual level of people.

Yes, when you live in a bubble you don't understand the other side. Ignorance is bliss a lot of times, and it gives people the feeling to judge.

No. These issues don't affect them in any way. They live in almost totally crime free, 90% + white neighborhoods so of course they aren't going to be rallying the troops for social justice on issues that don't affect them one way or the other.
