The affiliation isn't the shoe itself, rather Griffey paying homage to Jackie Robinson. Let's not forget the other Jackie Robinson Griffeys, the camouflage low-top 360 and the UCLA low-top 360.

Griffey was the first player to reach out to Selig with the request to wear number 42. That was in '97. Thus, the Swingman Remix, which is half Air Griffey Max II (1997) in which all teams had the 50th Anniversary patch of Jackie Robinson on their jersey.

Junior is single-handedly responsible for the commemoration each year. Thus, it's only right that he be celebrated across all models.

Cool, never seen this. Technically, this was the Diamond Trainer. Didn't have the midsole with the bubble, was full phylon Air sole instead.

weird how they would do that tho make the same shoe but slightly change the midsole.

about a month ago i posted about how the darwin and air proof were basically the same shoe yet the air proofs were cheaper.

nike is such a random brand.

Just got a pair today. On sale at that.. Shape is a lil off from the OG's but not a dealbreaker. Threw in some black laces and i was good to go.
