It's happening!!! Nike Air Diamond Fury 2015 Retro

Very nice. Think there is any chance that we get $120 retail? Or is the new baseline for sig retros $140?

few pairs of these popped up on ebay today:

slightly different color highlights from the og's but that's to be expected from a retro anyway.

...not really a fan of the red accents

Yea I'm waiting for the Mariners cw too. Iirc didn't they have an embroidered 24 up by the ankle?

Edit: from a look at pg 1 - they did. Man I want those to come out again.

I want those too. I just have a bad feeling they won't include the 24 smh

This got me to log in for the first time in years. Congratulations Nike, you don't even know what years your own friggin shoes released. These were produced in late '94, released in spring '95. "Diamond Fury '96"...........because that's when they were in the sale section in Eastbay once the Diamond Fury 2 came out?

Probably nobody but me cares, but it's egregious enough to bother me (especially since this is one of my absolute favorite shoes of all time).

Trydan, looking forward to hearing about them once you get yours in. Hopefully the shoes themselves are decent, even though Nike doesn't care enough to open a catalog to fact check before naming a retro :smh:

of that you can be sure.

the wrong name is par for the course really, the red highlights are in different positions from the og's too, nevermind the awful shiny black paint on the midsole but I can fix that at least.

but its been 20 years now so ill just take what I can get and move on. I spent any outrage I had on the griffey max 1 retros.

I have these in hand and on foot.

og vs retro comparison pics on my instagram here: https://instagram.com/trydar/ or here http://pinsta.me/tag/diamondfury

fresh out of the box so ill just give you my first impressions:

pros
- new shoe smell hehe
- air bubble is the right size for ONCE
- overall shape seems pretty good
- not bricks, can feel the air bubble pressure
- laces look fairly og
- the durabuck feels nice and the leather parts feel real good too
- decently wearable straight out of the box

cons
- padding is literally half what the og had, and the inner lining materials have changed too
- overall comfort is half the og too, but the og has seriously mind blowing comfort, one of the best nikes ever made imo, so it was a hard act to follow in any case
- missing some leather detail on the toe underneath where the laces start
- midsole is abit stiffer than the og but not too bad
- typical retro insole
- red highlights aren't exactly og correct, but not a huge deal either
- named wrong, 94/5 not 96, but oh well

summary
- 6.7/10 copy of the og, could have been way worse, but not bad given what ive come to expect from a retro. will wear several pairs into the ground regardless. been waiting on these for too long and looking forward to the release of the other colorways!
