As a child did you ever watch programs but didn't understand the lyrics to the theme song or the show itself?

I watched Golden Girls, the original broadcast. For years I thought the theme song said "you will see the difference they would make in me and a heart attack would say, thank you for being a friend" ...the actual lyrics are: "you would see the biggest gift would be from me and the card attached would say, thank you for being a friend".

...For years I wanted to move to San Francisco because of the Full House them song, after embedding the thought that I could "play paperboy (the video game)" and watch "He-Man TV". The actual lyrics are "The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV"

We're talking 5-6 years old.
