Im listening to his old stuff and even those are just as great as anything he's putting out.


Think its far fetched he reach that high?
And if you believe so, who can he possibly replace on your list ?


If not, whats the obstacle ?
 
The top 5 that everyone talks about even if they havent listen to any of their work seems to be consistent

Biggie,Pac,Nas Jay, Than an interchangeable 5th Em, Kane, One, Cube, Pun, Face etc..

I dint really like lists sometime cause there is a solid 10 to 15 you could through in any of those slots

For your question 

Biggie and Pac ain't goin nowhere cause they died,

Jay has a great catalog but a lot of his praise comes from what he does outside of music, So by the time Kendrick is being seriously considered for a spot like that.

Jay gon prolly be a billionaire and have done something else that will raise the bar

Nas is like an underground MC that has had major Mainstream success. He is highly regarded and puts out great music on a consistent basis. A lot of the greats have been inspired by him in some way and people know it. 

I think he can do it, but its too early to tell 

But in a couple more albums he's gonna have to start speaking it into existence

Dude has BARS,still.

Jay has more than earned his spot as greatest to ebet do it.
 
Kendrick already better than pac too right?... Since biggie is better then pac

he still hasn't impressed me yet, GKMC was good but not really my cup of tea. as of right now Drake & J. Cole are at their top peaks, he's gonna have to make something that tops that debut album. all this praise is just too much for me.

If you've only been listening to rap for 5-10 years and have no concept of anything that happen prior to 2000

It's like saying is Chris Brown top 5

Who knows. Too early to say. I know I would take him over a lot of rappers currently and even some of the older cats that aren't spitting at the level of consistency they used too. He's dropped a lot of quality projects and a really great album but lets give it some time.
 
idk dude needs to do what either jay, em or nas did.

jay dropped blueprint + black album + RD. 3 classics but not consistently.

nas dropped a gem aka illmatic.

em did 3 classics in a row - sslp, mmlp, tes.
 
Pac, Big, Nas,Jay are the mount rushmore of hip-hop. #5 is interchangeable based on preference.

Big put out two albums, he had bars no doubt but he don't have a big enough catalogue to be top 5 IMO. PAC got 3 undeniable classics under his belt and a number of other great albums. Big is Len Bias, Pac is Jordan
