Sony Pictures Gets Hacked || UPDATE: The Interview Releasing In Select Theatres and VOD on 12/25

Seth Rogan and Franco on HowardTV today

Howard said "as a country we should rally behind Sony"

Sorkin said these hackers and the people who read them are "morally treasonous"

I remember hearing Rogen on Carolla's podcast mocking people who were upset with the United State's surveilling its citizens.

But I guess when his or his friends' privacy is compromised it's a life or death situation.

Funny how ridiculous and hypocritical these celebrities are.

I always asked myself. They target these billion dollar companies who have hackers they can higher at a snap of a finger....

Remember this people bad publicity is good publicity.

One more thing for Americans to distract themselves and make the poor feel good tht the rich are having a bad time. While they laugh about this behind closed doors inking another multi billion dollar deal.

Hackers are overseas. Hackers here are taught to be good hackers.

Hackers overseas would eat american hackers alive especially russia

any updates?

YUP...

The group is threatening a 9/11 type terrorist attack at any theaters showing the movie on it's release day witch is December 25th. They're warning people to stay far away saying that if Sony releases the film the company is going to get a Christmas present they won't like.

Also Sony employees have filed a lawsuit against the company for failure to protect their information.

I wouldnt have even watched it until it made its way to the free section of On Demand had it not been for this hack. These hackers unknowingly made this the marketing campaign of the century.

So does this prove their hackers from NK or is just someone popping off online? A terrorist attack? cause of the Interview?

This is starting to smell fishy :nerd:

Could be the messages are straight from NK while whoever is doing the hacking is freelance.

Can't see a hacker being smart enough to pull this off but dumb enough to then be in league with making terrorists threats unless they really think they're protected and they'd basically need to not be in NK to feel that safe cuz any terrorist attack that gets traced back to NK is leading to a Korean War pt. Dos.

Namor is back with Marvel btw.

Does Lionsgate still have Man-Thing?

I forgot about Cloak and Dagger. Hope they make it to the second wave of Defenders. Same with Blade, Punisher, and Moon Knight.

Nobody wants to see a namor movie lol

I still want to see him somewhere. Avengers or Defenders. Dont care. He needs to come from Atlantis, smash *******, kick-***, chill with the surface dwellers, bring ******* back to atlantis. Lather, rinse, repeat, every time he is in a new episode/movie. And he is one of my favorite characters in Hickman's depiction of the Illuminati.

Also Namor >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Aquaman (who somehow has his own movie)

:smh:

This is going to end badly..

Warning

We will clearly show it to you at the very time and places “The Interview” be shown, including the premiere, how bitter fate those who seek fun in terror should be doomed to.

Soon all the world will see what an awful movie Sony Pictures Entertainment has made.

The world will be full of fear.

Remember the 11th of September 2001.

We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time.

(If your house is nearby, you’d better leave.)

Whatever comes in the coming days is called by the greed of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

All the world will denounce the SONY.

Theaters are pulling out
Sony’s The Interview won’t be playing in Carmike Cinemas following today’s missive from hackers who invoked 9/11 in their threats to moviegoers. Carmike, the first chain to pull the controversial comedy, operates 278 theaters and 2,917 screens in 41 states and is one of the largest exhibitors in the U.S. A source tells Deadline the Georgia-based company made the call after Sony told theater owners they’re going to release the film as planned, but will support exhibitors who choose to bow out. Sony’s now awaiting word from other chains on the fate of the Seth Rogen and James Franco comedy, which is scheduled for a December 25 wide release.

California’s upscale ArcLight Cinemas – including the flagship Sunset Boulevard theater located in the heart of Hollywood – has pulled the Seth Rogen-James Franco comedy The Interview, employees confirmed to Deadline tonight. The ArcLight chain spans five multiplex locations in Southern California and is owned by The Decurion Corporation, which also owns the Pacific Theatres chain.

Franco and Rogen have cancelled all upcoming appearances
