And for the people defending this movie.... could you imagine the amount of bunched jimmies if NK or Russia had a movie about the assassination of Bush during his term?

A lot of people voiced dislike for the guy but there is a lot of patriotism here. So I could picture many people being mad and some wanting to watch it.

Wouldn't be any outrage if it was Obama...I've seen folks openly wish for his death :smh:

People have been arrested for threatening to kill pres. in the past. Not going back to look for the tweets or post but some of them seemed like jokes to me and they still got arrested.

Folks lets just put this into perspective alittle

The interview is no different than team america world police. To me the reasons that they pulled the movie was not out of fear of a terror attack in the sense that we know, but a cyber attack that hit sony. Thats to me is why Regal and AMC and others pulled the movie. I feel that they are more concerned with waking up the day after the movie premiered and their entire company secrets and data online.

I saw a article, can't remember where, but basically this is how countries are waging war these days, because internationally law and protocol haven't caught up with the technology and times. If Chinese hackers employed by the government hack into Target or Wall mart servers and accounts, there is no precedent to classify those attacks are hostile aggression on the sovereignty of the united states. You can say that North Korea hacked Sony, but really how can you really prove that it wasn't just some lone individuals doing it?

The movie wasn't pulled out of fear of the public safety, its pulled because these companies realize despite the money they have, they are powerless against the hackers.

this is what alot of you arent understanding.

now that they know our cyber unit just looks through our nudes they pretty much got us by the balls.

whats next, they dont like what we put on our news, they dont dont like the commercials we are running, they dont like facebook, twitter, IG..

NIKETALK...

i could only imagine what these people are capable in terms of technology, they havent been cheap with tech.

Who gives a **** if they down Niketalk, **** Ezboard and Yuku did that once a week back in the day

I seriously doubt the hackers are from NK though, that **** don't add up to me. Dudes need nuclear reactors to power a toothbrush using atari consoles

Depending on who you believe, its been confirmed that it was some NK hacking ring

I'm not buying the whole North Korea is behind this, I'm willing to bet the bank China def had their hands in the cookie jar.

Since when are americans so soft on this type of issue? People crying over disrespecting a crazy dictator. Probable the same type to defend the attempted murder of that danish cartoonist. Wake up. Every time somone is offended we should be worried about terrorist attacks?

Thats what I'm saying, for all major theater companies to pull the film despite no credible threats, its not the physical theaters they worried about. They shook they gonna end up on the online summer jam screen

Just guessing, but the theaters didn't want to be held liable just in case something popped off. However, the article above throws that theory out. "Terrorist" win again.

Why?

I could see NK recruiting some Chinese hackers, but why would china care about this movie?

This doesn't even fit North Korea's mo. Chinese government is heavily invested in hacking US Cyberspace.

Actually....

According to South Korean reports, North Korea has been building a cyber-army of incredible magnitude for over a decade. In an interview with the Korea Herald, Professor Lee Dong-hoon of the Korea University Graduate School of Information Security said that North Korea has the third largest military cyber-warfare unit in the world, with over 3,000 troops—more than China. And the cyber force, Dong-hoon said, is directly under the control of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Wonder if the mormons threatened to blow up the theatre district over the book of mormon how people would feel. The most populr play in the world is highly offensive.

Sony shouldn't get mad at Kevin Hart for not promoting the film on his social media

If they wanted to him to promote the film in social media they should have written in his contract
