...a big fat juicy hamburger flame broiled, with lettuce, cheddar, fresh pickles, ketchup, mustard, onions, mayo and tomato. With a chocolate milk shake and steak fries.

it irritates me when i order eggs benedict (my fav breakfast item to order when out) and the yolk is cooked through....happened to me last week at some spot called Blueberry Hills in Vegas. Told them to give me something else. **** that place

I had some people think I was a savage for eating steak like that when I used to eat red meat. Can't be eating beef without some color b. Needs to be pink and juicy.
 
Last night i was at cheesecake factory, I orderd this big, stupid *** burger. It was medium with one over easy egg( I like my eggs runny), cheddar, sauteed mushrooms and onions, bacon and blue cheese. I couldnt even finish that ***, had to bring that ***** home wit me. But it was so good.

I'm pretty sure you definitely go to hell for ordering a steak any more done than medium.

Unfortunately, yes.

My people for some reason are not up on medium steaks. They all like well done. But peep game though, I notice that only the folk that haven't been places/haven't been out the hood/their hometown are the ones that mainly stick to well done. The black folk that's travelled, and done some living appreciate the medium-medium well steaks.

And to answer the OP, all I want right now is some fresh out the shower booty.

That and I want 2 beef patties, special sauce,onions, tomato, lettuce on a sesame seed bun
on a sesame seed bun, ya big dummy!

I just recently started getting my steaks/burgers medium well. I used to get everything well done until I started learning the science behind it. I mean "we" naturally think any pink means it isn't cooked. But yea I can definitely tell a difference.

I just really started getting into steaks though. Bone in ribeye from Texas Roadhouse is damn good to me, but I haven't had much else top be honest
 
Apple cinnamon bacon pancakes.

The pancakes must be seasoned with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and sugar
with copious amounts of bacon cooked into them, topped with the remaining bacon, syrup and apple sauce.
So delicious.

Back in the day when the scraps and poor cuts is all you got, uncercooking the ***** was lethal. Same with some 3rd world countries, it's culture.

I am not turning this into a race thread at all... this is Definitely a trend I've noticed over the part ten years or so... But never felt completely comfortable explaining that though lol...

as for me, I'm a Rare steak sorta guy for the most part... Some cuts are a MR, but I like the rare for the most part... Salt and Pepper is all you need on a good piece if dead cow...
 
If I'm cooking for myself I'll go rare but eating out I'm going medium rare to be safe. On the rare occasion they cook it medium it sucks, but I'd rather be safe.

For most of my life I had been eating steaks well done. For the past few years, I only eat medium or medium-well. Only way I don't is that if the person making it only cooks theirs well done. Haven't made the leap to medium-rare as of yet. 

For the steak connoisseurs in the thread, are there any differences between medium and medium-rare steak besides color?

Even medium on a nice steak is a crime. Medium rare is the highest you should go. And well done is ghetto as hell. Chew that flavorless shoe.

LOL yea....a HUGE difference. Medium tastes like hot garbage. If you get a Rib eye or Filet, and you order anything over med rare, you are wasting your money, and lookin real ignorant at that.

It's like getting a Rolls Royce and putting spinners on it.
