Anyone ever went to jail/got arrested for engaging in fisticuffs?

Of course I'm not talking about a random act of violence, but if you and someone else agrees to go out back and throw the hands to settle a dispute, could you get arrested/jailed for that?

Exactly how does this work?
Anyone been in this situation?
 
holding cell for a few hours here in NY unless you REALLY did damage

You get put in the dog house in NY especially if you're drunk
If you're not then you get booked
 
my friends older brother spent like 3 months in one of those low security places. he did him with a bottle as well, so i dont know if that played a part. but that was nearly 15 yrs ago

if i recall it was a fistfight and at the end he just picked a bottle and smashed dude upside the head. think he wouldve avoided time if it was just throwing hands
 
OP, you from New York if I call correctly by your ayo ways.

Don't fight someone from out of state or you'll wake up in a hospital at a jail with inmates singing along to lil boosie all night.
 
Me and my brother got into a drunken fight with each other downtown and spent the entire weekend in a DC jail.

No bueno, never again.
 
Me and some kid did years back in Oakland had a disagreement, we shot the fair one and we both spent the weekend in jail :smh: . He's my homie now :lol:
 
Don't worry about going to jail, worry about the next person possibly pulling a gun on you
Too many stories on the news where a fight turns into gunshots
 
Bruh in this day and age i am avoiding this at all cost. 

If you win the fight and he is seriously injured enjoy going to court.  Even if you win the court case...enjoy the lawyer fees.

You lose the fight enjoy the hospital bills

There are some many negatives that can come out of this.  Just do what everyone else does and throw shots on social networks claim if you two ever fought that other dude would get that work.  Then after like 2 months everyone forgets about it and its nothing.  
 
From experience they dont lock you up because you got into a fight out here they try to get you on other things when you get into a fight like intent or posession or other petty misdeminors
