Who are your Top 3 NBA Prospects for the 2015 draft?

Man, I usually don't say this but I think Stanley is a future star. I'm a wolves fan and I still want him despite us being deep on the wing.

I want to say Stanley but after watching him play, not very impressed with him. Still young but man is he raw.

Mudiay :pimp:

Stanley Johnson is a Mater Dei Product, they've never produced anyone worth a dam in the NBA so I wouldn't take that chance

I've been holding off on contributing to this thread but I feel pretty comfortable with;

This is an interesting draft because it features a top prospect with an incredibly high floor, it's difficult to imagine a universe where Jahlil Okafor doesn't command a double team in the post, or doesn't give you a double double at some point in his career, but there are pretty clear limitations when it comes to his ceiling.

1. He's below average in terms of explosiveness.

This is obvious precious few super star players who aren't at least excellent athletes, and the ones who aren't tend to be good shooters. Okafor makes up for it with length and fluidity, but the quickness of his feet only seem to apply on offence.

2. Two he is an awkward fit in the current landscape of the NBA.

Consider this, while he might be able to protect the rim if he puts in the effort and gets in the right defensive scheme, if he can't you need a defensive big who can and It's basically impossible to find an big who can protect the rim and stretch the floor.

If Okafor is an offense first big, how many elite offenses are built around an elite post player? The Memphis Grizzlies have toped out at 9th, but they have shifted the offense away from Z-bo and more towards Mike Conley and Marc. I guess you could argue Portland, but Lamarcus also stretches the floor with his shooting Okafor can't do that and judging by his FT% probably never will.

Karl Towns on the other hand might be one of those rare players who could one day function as an elite rim protector and also stretch the floor on offense. I think the kid is only scratching the surface of his skill set. He can shoot it, and has an great offensive instincts when it comes to passing the ball. He reminds of the Gasol bros so much. Is he a little soft? Right now, sure? But so was Lamarcus Aldridge at 18, so was Marc Gasol. That will improve with age.

Another thing about Towns, he's a competitor, which not all 7 footers are.

Dangelo Russel is everything right now, he fits perfectly in the modern NBA, you can totally picture how dangerous he would making plays in spread pick and roll offenses. He's an elite play maker, a future primary ball handler, and an elite shooter. He's the midway point between Harden and Manu, he's not quite as quick or athletic as prime Manu Ginobili, and isn't quite as strong or have the same feel for drawing fouls as Harden. He's not going to play PG, because I don't think he can defend them, he's been mediocre on that end in college but on offense he should grow into your primary perimeter playmaker.

Right now?

1. Jahlil Okafor
2. Dangelo Russel
3. Karl Towns

But I would consider taking Russel or Towns over Okafor depending on the construction of my roster.

Mudaiy, I like what I have seen has played with more discipline than I excepted in the games I saw in china, should quickly become and elite defender with his size and anticipation. He has the explosive athleticism that the other three lack. but im always weary of PG's who can't shoot 3's. Also while he can make some spectacular passes he has that Tony Wroten syndrome of trying to make spectacular passes instead of the simple ones.
