Why do us MEN get the short end of the stick?

There's plenty of women out here that don't need/want all that

Show me a chick who's a strong 8 (no pedo), proudly displaying a ring under a couple grand

Dude said 30k and I said plenty of women don't need all that and you counter that by saying a couple grand?

Yall reach for the stars

You read that too defensively. I agree no chick is worth a $30K ring but for the eventual replies of get her something real cheap, I was just showing there is a happy medium with at least spending for something in the couple grand range.

When you find that female, you'll be singing a different tune. But until then, you gotta get this money b'.

More women are gravitating away from this diamond culture, though. Antique rings and gemstones are growing in popularity; they're significantly less than diamonds -- which btw are not even considered a rare stone. That's why royalty used emeralds, sapphires and rubies as engagement rings. They know better.

BRB my man couldn't afford a diamond so he got me this ruby ring pop.

1. You don't have to get married if you don't want to.

2. Fact of life: as a dude, the wedding is not for you. Suck it up and deal. Yea, it's supposed to be a celebration of your union, but its really the woman's party.

3. A reasonable mature woman will understand the foolishness of bankrupting your future life together by starting out deep down in the whole financially over either an expensive ring or an expensive ceremony.  If she doesn't, leave her and find another.

4. A ring is a symbol first and a piece of jewelry second. There's no way a piece of jewelry should approximate a significant portion of your annual salary, or cost more than functional pieces of your life...like, say a car.

Just for clarification. I'm with the idea of getting a shorty that don't care about the material things. But at the end of the day, every girl wants a piece of the pie whether they admit it/show it or not. Can't sit here and tell me that ya shorty won't be happier with you if you got her a nicer ring.

you wanna feel pretty b?

I ain't even sayin all that. Every man got a jiggy side to him that he wants to flaunt, feel me? But cats is unable to stunt at the wedding cus the bride is takin all the shine.

i'd rather have my wedding be about my bride than about me.

FlyNY do you wear rings? and who do you know buying woman $30k rings?

I wear rings now and then. And I know some street cats getting money below the Mason-Dixon Line who buy their shorty boos $40k rings, pa

Agreed. No matter what they say, you always have to give them credit for being women. Women ARE judged on material things and the better looking the ring, the more daps they get, the better they feel. I agree. Even the low maintenance ones want something nice. Nice doesn't HAVE to mean expensive. But just know if you get her a weak ring, her friends will clown her, and that will matter to even the least materialistic girl to SOME degree.

Nothing wrong with a lil stunting from time to time.

Especially for your lady.

I know a man that got about 5 diamonds implanted under the skin of his penis, fam, to give his girl a sensation during smashing. If that's not stunting, idk what to say

Nothing WRONG with it, just not my thing.

But in terms of a wedding ring, the #1 point, IMO, is status. To flaunt. Forget all that symblism blah blah blah.

But dudes, am I the only one that doesn't even WANT a ring if married? I don't even wear rings, have no desire for a ring. And please don't hit me with the, "Well you wanna do dirt." A ring wouldn't stop that either way

this is what i tried to say

meet a woman that gets you n don't need to have da status symbols but just yo love b

No such thing unless you remain bf/gf forever, sooner or later they gonna want more and that's when dodo hits the fan.

Alot of you guys fooling yourself if you don't think the percentage of women who care about these things are higher than the ones who don't. It's in our culture to indoctrinate these things upon your common citizen.

I picked out a really nice wedding room and even then, I still forget to put it on sometimes. Today is actually one of those days
