Producer of Nicki Minaj's Pinkprint album exposes the label's Damage Control problems, says "Changes

Glad Cole will remain highest selling hip-hop artist of 2014, really thougbt Nicki would kill it due to all her singles and pop lane.
I think this is probably the crux of this issue for universal if its true. Cole, without a single, and without having a video like anaconda, etc., out sold her buy about 100K right? If I was an executive, I would be seriously questioning if I am going to put tons of money behind her again.

Dude said she alienated her gay fans tbh it's prolly true  same thing happened to Lady Gaga

Cole's 1st week showing compared to hers just shows the fickleness of music fans nowadaways as well as the importance of taking the time to cultivate a loyal fanbase that really support you. A lot of these fly by night fans dip once the next hottest thing pop up

That moment you find out your fanbase ain't as big as you thought gotta be sad as ****

I been bumpin Tears For Fears Women in Chains since I was a youngster and I was shocked ......shocked when I heard Dipset rappin over that sample in So Free

they've been promoting tha joint like crazy. She's been on everything lately, from Jimmy fallon to inside the nba, which was VERY surprising. they are definitely pushing this album, but with the internet, especially spotify, I can't see it doing numbers. her fan base is crazy, and she is fine as ever and can spit, but that doesn't equal sales.

She was promoting this hard. I was surprised to see her on all those sports shows. I didn't think her fan base would flake on her this quick.

London has its own hip hop scene so I wouldn't be surprised if they still doing something in the industry.

They were more popular here than there when they with the diplomats. I can't really see them having much success at the moment.

It's crazy man.. 200k is a lot especially for a pop artist/rapper. Still I was definitely expecting Pink Friday type numbers.

Man thats what I'm wondering. Dudes in here really checking for SAS like that tho?

Like I said London has its own hip-hop scene etc so I'm sure SAS is probably in the industry somehow some way. i just doubt they rap like that any more. We gotta consider how big the DIPs were at one point, if they didn't capitalize on that opportunity its on them.

I mean lets be real dudes still kinda know who JR Writer and Hell Rell are so I'm sure SAS aint too far down the line.

When I worked at the label, those conference calls and other company correspondence were basically top secret.  Is this guy hiding his identity somehow?  Anyone who would be tweeting company business was asking to get let go.
