Tonge on the playoff XIII

I doubt there's any real significance to it other than just being a style choice but has anyone ever heard anything on why the playoff colorway of the XIII is the only XIII with the jumpman circled on the tongue?

when they "retired" the superior circle jumpman logo with the 2010, there was a vid explaining it. i don't think there was any real significance to it besides style.

I always looked at it like incentive to win the gold/trophy. that's probably not why it was used but that's just how I viewed it. sort of like how some of the heat players the past few years have had gold on their shoes in the finals/playoffs
