Gunman kills self after 2 NYPD cops fatally shot ‘execution style’ as ‘revenge’ for Garner

the best way to liberate ourselves is to find the purpose the best way to do that is to get into reading classic literature. that's what MLK and Malcom X did. Also thats what influenced the enlightenment

do you guys hate white cops, or just cops.
I dislike cops in general in NYC.

It's a twofold thing though. Some are on their racist **** when they go about killing young black men, others are on their cops are the authority with a license to kill a.k.a cops are a gang "bleeding blue". Both consist of a lot of power tripping monsters who use to be insecure lames that would get punked.

This is an issue that cannot be solved by simply doing one thing (peaceful protesting etc) it is rather a complex social issue that involves a conglomerate of necessary actions to take place such as protesting, attempting to reevaluate the judicial systems selection of fit jury candidates to decide on such sensitive issues, as well as mentoring within minority communities to lead them away from paths involving illegal activity to make a living or be apart of as a social group which will avoid higher police presence in these areas
Exactly.

And I think another piece of that puzzle is that we need to be active in performing our civil duties.
When I used to work at the courthouse I cannot tell you how many times I see black people talmbout they were trying to get themselves disqualified for jury duty.
But when we do this we have no representation on the "Jury of our peers"

what exactly happened in the video? how are there so many cops yet you hear the gun go off?

Fixing the conduction of the judicial system is the most important, you guys can't forget that the verdicts in the garner/brown cases were all decided by the jury and the jury alone. More minorities should be selected as jury candidates, as well as other criteria needed in choosing a capable jury for such racially sensitive social trials

I agree that the judicial system needs some tinkering. I also think that cops aren't being sent to prison because let's face it, they would be eaten alive. If you give a cop a murder sentence of 20 or more years, there's gonna be no chance he survives 5. The cop will be a walking target 24 7. So I think cops should have their own prison system just like the military does.

I think that's because dude ran into a store and shot himself right after.

Edit: nvm, he actually ran onto a subway platform, so that's probably why you can hear shots

Damn I am all out of reps.

Been preaching this since day one. We, as an african american community have to take responsibility and ownership for the opportunities we have.

And you know I never thought of that before because when both of the grand jury decision came out, I cannot tell you have many people where on their "If I was on that jury board...." but turn right around and seek out reasons not to go to jury duty...wtf? WE have to be the change we want to see tomorrow.

Cant stress that enough and will probably get banned for saying the same thing over and over but until we inject ourselves into these top positions, don't expect change to fall from the sky...

A coward who attempted to murder his girlfriend thought he could make amends by killing two cops .Of course many people are gonna spin this and make a response saying he was attacking cops on behalf of a nonviolent cause .This sadly doesn't change that NYPD is a serious Gang that has committed crime and murders since as far back as the 19th century

out of reps you say :D

Plenty of disrespectful comments in every thread regarding a minority getting killed but they stay open.

People making comments about cops and all of a sudden admins get shook cause God forbid a news media outlet uses this site for their agenda.

It is what it is but don't hide it like a sucker...if you gonna delete that then delete the other threads filled with trolls
Applause

what happened to the other thread?
The topic post contained racial slurs.

In a moderation queue environment, topic posts aren't designated differently than replies.  A post that warrants deletion - as a post containing racial slurs does - is sometimes deleted immediately from the queue, which results in that sort of situation.

As a matter of policy, we'd rather delete objectionable posts than have moderators altering users' posts via edits.  The reasoning is pretty simple.  We expect every user to follow the rules at all times.  If you don't, someone else isn't going to do it FOR you and correct your mistakes.  Your "voice" is conditional and predicated in your compliance with NikeTalk's rules.

Really eerie seeing those pictures, I could swear i've seen the cop on the right before. He looks familiar to me, I've seen him

Who got banned?

^We all knew it had to be something like that. Just wondering cause it happened so fast.
Not everyone, apparently.  A quick glance through this thread suggests that people were ginning up all sorts of preposterous conspiracy theories.

It's unfortunate when an error in a topic post effects the deletion of a thread, but the individual judgment associated with the moderation queue entry was sound.  Had that post been a reply, the correct action would have been deletion.  It just carried an unintended consequence in this instance.

There is a way to replace a topic post - but the workaround is fairly elaborate.  We can also just reassign the topic to another user.  If someone is willing to volunteer on that front and provide respectfully presented background and introductory material, we can reopen the thread and grant you control of that initial post to replace the one that contained slurs - or the OP could just actually follow the rules for a change, agree to edit his own post, and stop insulting people.

My black folks of NT

do you consider yourselves as african americans?

srs question, not debating

That kid needs to get his *** off facebook and stay with his family to console them and himself...but the poor kid is probably in so much shock that he doesn't know what else to do...a long battle with depression will follow and his life will forever be changed after this day....what a shame...

But with the right family support and help he can make it through this, he needs to find the strength within himself to be strong and overcome...life can be too cruel sometimes
