Since Illinois started granting concealed carry permits this year, the number of robberies that have led to arrests in Chicago  has declined 20 percent from last year, according to police department statistics. Reports of burglary and motor vehicle theft are down 20 percent and 26 percent, respectively. In the first quarter, the city’s homicide rate was at a 56-year low.

“It isn’t any coincidence crime rates started to go down when concealed carry was permitted. Just the idea that the criminals don’t know who’s armed and who isn’t has a deterrence effect,” said Richard Pearson, executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association. “The police department hasn’t changed a single tactic — they haven’t announced a shift in policy or of course — and yet you have these incredible numbers.”

we had that public shooting at the capital building a few months back and i was surprised that they were making a huge deal out of it even though only one person died

then i realized that it is a big deal for canada even though by american crazy gun violence standards its a pleasant surprise that only one person died from a public shooting
 
This guy killed two people who didn't do **** to him directly. He generalized. I cant see how anyone can defend what he did.

I don't think most folks arguing against peaceful protests or made up audio of somebody chanting death to all cops actually care about the cops who got shot .They care more about the idea of painting blacks as lawless and deserving of piss poor incompetent policing under the guise of keeping us in check .

We can sit back and lie and pretend that nypd is americas finest and they are the bravest for that one day in September where they understood as a collective the concept of self sacrifice and true dedication to the community .While being corrupt ,dangerous and a menace to society for most of their history .We can pretend that Union heads are looking for Justice while ignoring the fact they just want control over New York and don't mind getting kickbacks and money . We can ignore that america champions and makes heroes out of white cop killers and criminals yet reduce blacks to being forced to apologize for one man .While making more films on cop murderers.

If one bad officer was stomping somebody out that good cop will not stop the bad officer. he probably will join or either lie to help cover it up. brotherhood

why did the guy drive all the way to NY just to kill the cops?

could have just killed two local cops and saved the gas for whoever ends up getting his old car

 Video Taken by NYPD Killer Surfaces, Shows Him Being Shaken Down by K-9 Unit Last Year

A cell phone video, pulled off of Ismaaiyl Brinsley’s Facebook page prior to it being deactivated, showed an interaction between law enforcement and Brinsley taken a little over a year ago.

In the video an officer claims the dog signaled for drugs on Brinsley’s bag. But there was nothing remarkable that could be pinpointed as the dog even signaling. After the officer claimed the dog signaled, Brinsley refused to let him search his bag.
“The dog is indicating on your bag here. So that gives us probable cause to search the bag.”

Brinsley questions the officer as to the dog having not signaled on his bag saying,
“He didn’t bark or anything.”

To which the officer responds,
“Have you been to dog K-9 training school? If you haven’t been you probably don’t know how my dog indicates.”

“You brought the dog over here twice. It left the first time after it sniffed the bag you brought it back over.”

The officer confirms he brought the dog over twice, then tells Brinsley,
“Listen sir. I’m asking you a simple question would you like to do it on the bus or go outside.”

The officer then attempts to force Brinsley to quit filming the encounter, telling him,
“While I’m doing that and conducting police business your not gonna film me so you can turn your camera off.

“This is public,”

referring to the established right to film an officer engaged in the carrying out of his official duties, to which the cop responds,
“No sir not while I’m conducting a police investigation.”

The cop can then be seen forcing him to quit filming the encounter, claiming illegally that he must stop.

Perhaps this gives even a slight glimpse of insight into the mindset of the killer as recent events have transpired.

I figure it's in response to the Eric Garner grand jury finding the killing unworthy of trial.

Even though I guess it can't be posted again, those IG posts are still in mind for his motives for killing to NYPD cops.

It may just be he was already planning to kill these cops, mental illness or not but that morning something went down with his girl so he ended up killing her. It could be as simple as her finding out what he was planning to do.
