The Body Flu Just Took Me To Hell & Back.

I was awake a combined 5-6 hours from Friday night until today around 9 a.m.

- 102 fever, body aches like you wouldn't believe, sharp sharp pain in my lymph node underneath my jawline. Pain like I've never felt before in my life.

-Couldn't get an appointment with a doctor, couldn't get into the emergency room without a two-hour wait (too long for what I was dealing with)

Wash your hands, be careful of what you touch, don't let somebody else's germs ruin your holiday.

I'm just getting over this. Got me on Thursday night. Fever, sore throat, and a pounding headache. Called out sick from work on Friday. Caught a cold on Saturday that I still have. Feel better man!
 
Literally my whole household has this right now... Moms been slumped since yesterday and my sister just got got the early stages of it.

Yeah man it's rough and I have my workplace breathing down my neck because I had to miss Sunday.

job requires yearly flu shots so thankfully I won't have to experience this. Still hate they're required now :smh:
 
Flu shots work?

I had a two day bout with this last Sunday. Hit me and my stomach hard. Had the shakes and shivers and then was hot, then cold again. head ache day two. Day 1 and 2 extreme bowel issues... Maybe food poisoning? I hope I'm done until after the holidays
 
Flu shots give you flu like symptoms for like a week

My boy is sick & was trying to smoke with me :smh: had to set him straight
 
^ a day or two when it happened to me but now I take two ibuprofen the next day (after the shot) and it never happens

I feel u OP. Last yr I had the flu for 6 days, gout was Trippin and a toothache. Been clear this yr. Anytime I feel that green stuff in my system, I'll down a bottle of that purple stuff and hock that **** out in the backyard
 
eat right, exercise and stay clean. **** a flu shot.
Havent had the flu since since h.s. They sent me home looking life a zombie.
I keep my immune system on over drive now

I like to think I've got a strong immune system. I've literally never gotten a cold in my life, but I've come down with the Flu twice when I was 12 and 18.

One of the worst physical experiences, right behind food poisoning.

Never getting a flu shot though.

Haven't had a flu shot since I was about 10. I know how they work and they can't make you sick and so on but I had got one when I was already sick and it was the worst thing ever :x

Been dodging them ever since :lol: and luckily haven't had the flu since then either.
 
can someone explain to me the fear over flu shots? is it related to an overall fear of vaccinations (polio, rubella, mumps, measles)? 

i read an article that said, "flu shots don't necessarily prevent you from getting the flu, but they prevent you from getting others around you sick." could anyone elaborate? 

i haven't had the flu in maybe 10+ years, but have had shots over (maybe every other year, never kept track though)...

Thought I was gonna die when I had norovirus a few years back. I lost 12 pounds in 3 days.

*I got the flu shot once, and got sick as a dog for a few days after. That was my first and last time getting the shot. Never again. I'll take my chances.
