18 year old shot by Police in Berkley missouri.

Always. Someway somehow them fools always get arrested unharmed. Pretty amazing that white men get privilege after killing multiple folks.

Of course it always comes back to race to you.  How come white guys get to commit crimes and live, but black guys commit crimes and get killed?  Boohoo...how about not commit crime in the first place?   It's like if you got pulled over for speeding and you start arguing with the cop why the other guy who was speeding didn't get pulled over too?

Show me ONE instance where anyone has defended the actions of any of the white mass shooters such as Adam Lanza or James Holmes.  Hell, even Adam Lanza's DAD said he wished his son had never been born.  A criminal is a criminal, regardless of race.

But he didn't say anything about people defending them.

Or hating them.

Exactly. Lawyer that can't read and comprehend. Probably was Adnans lawyer.

let me step in because I think a different perspective will make things a little more clearer...

In regards to your first point, the fact that white people ate AFFORDED the chance to correct their mistakes and move on and learn from them is am opportunity many black men aren't given.

Take Tim Allen... Dude was on the hook for major drugs... Was able to get a slap on the wrist and move on.

Many politicians have a long history of sexual assault, violence, etc... But in general, they're afforded the chance to learn from their mistakes, especially as younger white men.

The stats show that black people are punished 4x as their white counterparts for the same offense...

So... Of you're a black guy and get caught with some weed... Enough can tack a felony on...

But a white guy might get it pled down to a lesser charge, and eventually eradicated from their record.

The black guy can't get jobs, get fin aid, etc... Because he wasn't afforded the opportunity to grow and learn from mistakes.

Plenty of white people get let go with slaps om the wrist that black men aren't afforded.

Not all but some...

Om regards to your second point.. I think the image that's painted around those guys you mentioned is far less incriminating about their character than black counterparts...

And the MAIM issue is that it's not a direct result of their culture or upbringing.

The public generally doesn't admonish the entire white race when these mass shooters appear...

But when black men are in a high profile case... Every other statistic about the negativities in the black community are brought up.

When Adam lamza did his thing... You didn't here any stats on mass shooters generally being white, or how celebrity kids have tougher ways adjusting to regular society.

With mike brown, black on black crime, black culture. And his upbringing were ALL brought in as to why he SHOULD have been killed...

Just a different perspective because I think you and Mr Marcus are not hearing each others views.

Excuse the typos buy I got burgers on the George Foreman and I'm rushing.
In response to your first point, I get that certain white people (usually the wealthy ones) have a certain "privilege" that black people don't as far as the penalties they face when committing a crime.  Should punishment for crime be equal? Of course, but at the end of the day, if you don't commit a crime, racial disparity in the penalties becomes irrelevant.  Should black parents warn their kids that they should be extra careful when committing a crime because unlike a white guy, they might end up dead?  How about teaching kids to obey the law and not commit crimes in the first place?  Every single story that's posted about some black guy who gets killed during the commission of a crime, Mr. Marcus is always quick to point out that had it been a white guy, he would've lived, as if there's some huge white conspiracy going on.

Going onto your second point, the public's perception is based on the frequency of occurrence, not body county.  Statistically, mass shootings are usually perpetrated by white guys. However, despite the body count, the mass shootings are usually isolated and random incidents which aren't reflective of the communities they occur in (i.e. Sandy Hook, Aurora, etc.)  That's why when an otherwise unforeseeable mass shooting occurs, people look for answers as to why it happened.  In the case of Adam Lanza and James Holmes, both had documented mental illness PRIOR to their respective crimes.  Now compare that to the almost daily shootings that occur in predominantly lower income minority neighborhoods.  The public perceives those incidents as being reflective of the communities they occur in, which is why you don't see the same outrage as you do with mass shootings.

When you see a mass shooting occur involving a white guy such as Adam Lanza or James Holmes, you don't see anyone, including other white people defending their actions.  When a black guy commits a crime though, there's never any accountability. Instead, you get responses like why didn't the cop shoot the gun out of Antonio Martin's hand, or why do white people who commit crime get to live but black guys get killed?  It's unfortunate that Michael Brown was killed, and I think that Darren Wilson should have at least been indicted to allow a jury to decide whether a crime had been committed.  However, despite attempts to make Michael Brown out to be some saint, think about this.  Had Michael Brown NOT been shot and killed that day, he would have likely been charged with strong armed robbery and possibly assault of a police officer.  That's in no way excusing or justifying what Darren Wilson did, but it goes to show that not every incident is a matter of fault by one party or the other.

Case in point:

1) A black guy is shot and killed by a customer during the commission of an armed robbery.  How does the family respond? They're outraged that the customer killed him because he was technically pointing the gun at other customers at the time.

2) Despite the club owner, who is BLACK, corroborating the police's account that Carlton Smith was pointing a gun and shooting at a crowd when he was killed, the family is demanding a grand jury probe and the involvement of the Department of Justice.  Again, no accountability.

Carlton Wayne Smith, 20, was shot five times after police say he was  seen firing wildly into a crowd  of people outside H.T.'s Lounge early Friday morning.

Now, Smith's family is working with community activist Quannel X. They are asking the Department of Justice to come in and begin an independent investigation. They also want the Galveston County district attorney to appoint a special prosecutor to present the case to a grand jury.

How about we start calling a spade a spade and acknowledge when criminal activity has occurred instead of trying to make everything out to be racially motivated like Mr. Marcus likes to do?

Holy ****. Thats how we fix broken down, abandoned, poor, teacherless, underfunded, violent, drug filled, polluted cities.

Bro, we living under a rock. It's JUST THAT easy.

Man, I totally get where you're coming from. You made some points that counter mine, but I think neither one of us are wrong... Just different perspective becuase we're vierwing the world from two different lenses.

In response to your first point, I get that certain white people (usually the wealthy ones) have a certain "privilege" that black people don't as far as the penalties they face when committing a crime.  Should punishment for crime be equal? You brought up wealth, but I'm talking about the overall numbers that show that black people are punished 4x as much. Not all of those people are rich. There's been several psychological studies that show that many people look at black people as criminals... or just negatively.

The media does it all the time. Hell, look at the movie Exodus. From there, I think that it's embedded in a lot of people's psyche that black = bad, and they're hardly given the "kids will be kids" tag...

Let's be real... kids do stupid things. What you're asking for isn't wrong and it isnt too much to ask... But it's pretty unrealistic to think that if you will eradicate all people breaking the law.

You were taught not to do a lot of stuff as a kid, but you still did it... Does that mean you shouldnt be afforded a second chance? Heck no.

And you talk about Mr Marcus pointing that out because there have been SEVERAL instances where ARMED white men who actually SHOT AT COPS were taken in alive... While time after time unarmed black men are met with excessive force.

Mr Marcus is simply stating that there should be some levelness to the game.. Atleast kill the white guys like you kill the black guys... or use patience with black men like you use with white men...

Whatever you want to say, I think he's just aiming for some even level of interaction with the police... and we can all point to several cases where that's just not true.

but that's the thing... they dont.. they view that as a BLACK problem, and not an ECONOMIC problem... I've posted several stats in here as to why the black murder rates are much higher than other counter parts and one thing remains the same...

middle class and upper class black people do not commit crimes no where near the same rate as lower class black people...

but our entire community is denigrated because of it. How many mass shootings have middle and upper class black people been apart of?

The thing is... When it comes to those mass shootings, there is a collective that looks to identify WHY it happens... But with black murders in lower income areas, we KNOW why it happens... But the media portrays at is something totally differnent than what it is...

an ECONOMIC problem.. not a BLACK problem...

When you see a mass shooting occur involving a white guy such as Adam Lanza or James Holmes, you don't see anyone, including other white people defending their actions.  When a black guy commits a crime though, there's never any accountability. People dont defend their actions because they're too busy looking for the cause of it and not labeling them as quickly as they do black people.

And even Mr Marcus said in the other thread with antonio holmes.. .if he had a gun, he should be shot... No logical person on this board has ever backed a black man that was armed and aiming at the cops.

No one. Not one. Never. Not even a little bit... so that talk of shooting the gun out of Martin's hand is hyperbole.

you followed that sentence up with why do white people not get killed... Yes, black people do ask that question because we see it time and time again of white armed men getting taken into custody.

The thing that Marcus is saying that yes, they're both criminals... and yes, they're both doing wrong. We all agree on that...

You stop there and say "well dont do the crime"

But other go deeper, as when adam Lanza or James holmes goes on a rampage... and asks, "hey... why couldnt this situation w/ the white guy be handled like the situation with the black guy, or vice versa?"

It seems like it's okay to dig deeper when deranged lunatics go on a shooting rampage... but not okay when two situations involving the same circumstances are handled completely differently, when one results in death....

With Mike Brown, yes, you're right about the charges... But when has those charges EVER been punishable by death from a cop that wasnt even aware of the store situation in the first place?

I just told you i was there bruh..

You're asking the family and friends of someone to be objective...

Really?

I know dudes that KNOW HIM PERSONALLY that arent even speaking on Facebook because they know he was dead wrong...

You are literally taking the family's word of a deceased 20 year old as representation of the entire black community?

Really? Is that what we're doing here?

Myself, just like the ton of other people that were there are saying that Quanell X is on some ********... Did you just skip over when I typed that earlier?

I don't think illuminati is trolling as much as not understanding a different perspective. I think it's more him just wanting to BE RIGHT... And not GET IT RIGHT...

What can I say is definitely trolling.

But I activate my de-rustler genes when he gets going...

I legit feel as if he has issues with blacks. He was bullied or cheated on by a black person.

He goes way out of his way to do, as you stated, "BE RIGHT", only when it comes to black issues.

"Dont commit crimes" is his answer but uhmmmm a lot of the blacks killed by police weren't committing any crimes at all.

Funny thing is that the guys speaking with objectivity= an asian, Mexican, and a very attractive Latino. [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

Fixed.

This guy

It's no dig at Mexicans cause the ones here in NC cool folks. Just weird they're caping an issue that ain't about them at all.

@ Fontaine ...when he starts comparing his parents situation to AA it comes off as trolling. I mean to keep it real Africans are coming over here having success better than any other immigrant.

My lady parents came over here and worked hard to provide her a lifestyle just like his parents. Her fam is filled with a few doctors, nurses, and professors.

There's a long history with african Americans in this country and its just not a simple answer. There's road blocks to prevent a lot of them to get outta their situations and then you have generations of folks that are mentally conditioned to think their situation is all life has to offer.

It's all around sad cause there's some folks that are just lost in that lifestyle. All I'm saying is that the government had a hand in this **** being created.

Blacks are more segregated now then they were during segregation. Just weird and I'm just glad I had parents that wasn't lost in the system cause there would've been a high chance that I would've been too.

When you know kids grow up in broken homes you can't help but feel bad. At least me cause I knew some that were in some ****** up situations and a lot have fallen right into that trap.

I know I'm all over the place with my rambling

I forget which thread but illuminatinyc illuminatinyc admitted that he used to be picked on by Black people where he's from.

Ever since he popped up on NT he always ends up in a thread about Black people and its always him playing devil's advocate. Posting ridiculous s_.

thatwashim?

I remember that... In that thread, we were talking about how accepting black people are and they need to stop doing that.

He came in and was all "nah... Because black people used to pick on me"

NT. Does this freely and easily with black people, but make them try to see this when it comes to bad cops:

How about we start calling a spade a spade and acknowledge when criminal activity has occurred

And you're a generalizing, potentially racist cop hater.
