I just logged into a sneaker forum and almost every thread on the first page is about blacks being killed by white officers. I tried to be calm, level headed but two cops were murdered in my neighborhood. There's so much tension here in New York, and across the country. I am truly starting to have concerned about a possible second civil war, or an American revolution. 

Thinking about cracking open my rainy day fund and moving to Seattle, or somewhere close to Canada and then leaving the U.S. completely, this is crazy. However I am seriously making some big weapons purchases after the holidays, I don't get scared very easily or fear for my life...but I am starting to get concerned about number of reported black killings at the hands of white police...this is 2014.



...am I going crazy?

The AR-15 and AR-10 were outlawed in New York because of their pistol grips and threaded barrel. However you can purchase the modified versions of assault rifles:

If you're going to do it do it the right way. Take some training courses to get familiar with the firearm.

As far as your reason for cop on black issues. I can't speak on that. But i carry mine every time I leave the house not because of one race or another its because there is way too much stupidity out the so if i have to protect myself or my family then I will. Just like the guy in Ohio he did what he had to do because it would have been either him or them. Its sad that it has come to this but I'm all for protecting yourself
 
im no expert but i would go with a hand gun if you're buying a gun

walking around with an assault rifle will increase the chances of you getting shot or at the very least heavily harassed by cops by roughly 120,000%

but if you really want to be safe, canada is a great place to live

No, the rifle will probably collect dust, I know how and was trained to use one (a long time ago), it's just there to serve purpose if the time comes. I dislike guns very much.

The police have always been for black people and never against black people.

its a terrible thing that happened to him, but unfortunately if you use a gun to defend yourself vs a cop you're going to end up in a body bag

rough situation right now, but carrying around a gun is not a good way to protect yourself from cops

I'm not talking about looking to harm anyone, I just looking into survival tactics and methods for legal easy to obtain items that may save my life one day.

Scenario: White cops CONTINUE to kill unarmed black men, white civilians start "helping" the police, black men are forced to defend themselves and an all out urban war takes place. Someone like me, who hates guns, hates violence, but is forced to SURVIVE and I don't even own or never wanted firearms or explosives in my home or my life. It would be nice to have some MacGyver type knowledge on items that could be used to get me out of a sticky situation.


...I clearly stated, I'm trying to leave this country for Canada, I just can't take the violence or racial tension anymore.

in that case you should sell your house and everything you own and buy a tank

be sure to save some money to cop Fury on blu ray so you have an instructional video on what to do 
 
Sounds like your just looking for trouble. Get that fear out your heart, you'll have nothing to worry about.


First off stay away from the media and all that nonsense. Delete what's going on from your reality and live your life for what it actually is, not what you see and hear.


Oh and BTW NT is damn near worse than the media nowadays, so if your feeling tension from what's going on NT isn't the place to be right now.

I'm not asking, it's philosophy...I'm simply exploring possibilities and outcomes, nothing more at this point. There's white supremacist survival camps and compounds across the United States. Mentally disturbed people who spent the last 20-30 years preparing for a "race war" and all they're waiting on is a "sign".

And no where in your "report" did you mention that racial tension is a problem in this country and black men being killed in DROVES at this point is becoming concerning. Which is why this country is a scary place for many because you'd rather see me going to jail over being legitimately concerned for my own well being, than offer a solution.


...I take it you're aren't a black person.
