You would have to acetone for the foam part and I've heard of using created or you could use JH superflex with Angelus paints. Angelus paints with the uppers also

i would be careful you dont hear too much about people touching foams

Not true. All you have to do is properly clean the foam...alcohol or acetone would work just to get any finger oils or dirt off. Then tape off what you don't want to get color on...then you'd need to properly prep the foam with a few light coats of adhesion promoter. Then either brush or airbrush what ever you want with the appropriate base coats etc...
