Might have to take some of ya'll up on the "eat better" resolution.

If you see my posts in the food thread you know I don't be eating salads.

I'm not fat at all but I'm sure my poor eating habits will catch up with me when I hit my late 20s.

While that's good that you're dead serious about this, as you should be, it's been my personal experience that your goals are your goals because you're hungry for them & no matter what anyone else does or feels in regard to their goals it'll have no real bearing on what you sought out to do if you're really on your ****. Don't get me wrong, things like this thread & wanting others to get serious is cool & can be helpful with motivation starting out but people will be themselves no matter what & you posting your own proof/multiple requests won't help them if they don't care enough already.

But good **** to you, & I'll be working hard right there with you so you aren't alone

- Continue to lose weight and get gains. (Started working out 2/1/2014 weighing in at 222 and I'm currently at 190. Could've been more if I was on a 100% strict diet.)
- Become more strict on my diet. (I usually only eat "clean/right" about 4 days out of the week.) :smh:
- Graduate with my Bachelor's from UH in May.
- Do well with my internship. (While taking 18 hours total and working 18-20 hours a week.) :x
- Travel. I haven't been anywhere out of Texas besides Louisiana. :smh: Gotta hit California for sure.
- Get a better job or another source of income.
- Become a better person overall. (As a son, brother, uncle, student, etc.)

Just a few of the main things I'm going to work on. Good luck to all of you and let's all flourish. :pimp:

Good stuff dude. Always try and write a little each day. If you need anyone to check it out or chat or whatever feel free to pm me. Love seeing other people go out and write. Wish more dudes were like you and took the effort to do so. Feels damn good when you finish.

I try to do at least 2 pages a day (my goal this year is 4 or 5 a day) but it's slow going sometimes, especially since I do very little pre-writing aside from notes on my phone, a character sheet that I rarely look at, and a rudimentary timeline to keep the pace and flow of time consistent within the plot.

I begin with a vague idea in my head of what I want to do, and when I write it down things sort of resolve themselves. So I'm discovering the story as much as I'm writing it.

Yeah I'm down to share with whoever; I'm always looking for constructive criticism. Feel free to send me your **** as well

Good stuff man. When I first started I used to pump out ten a day. Then took a two year break from fiction and in November came back like Jordan wearing the four five with five pages a day. the key is to not burn yourself out trying to get it all done quickly. I popped out 50,000 words in November but I had to basically take all over December off just to relax and reset when I initally wanted to start something new this past month. Goal is to get back on that grind into the new year. Don't get discouraged by the rejection letters. I sent ninety queries on this project from November and only got one guy willing to read it  and he passed on the idea. It's a process but if you stick with it and always be positive it works out in due time.

I rarely do any prewriting or anything since that's just my style. I like to just wing it and see where the story goes. Everyone's unique.

Idk who son is up there trying to get 25k a month, idk what you do for a living, but I'm trying to save $25k by the end of the YEAR

Read more books about financial literacy
Bulk up and hit the gym.
Improve my credit score.

Have my own spot.
Go back to Trinidad and look into business ventures back there

And just find out who I am, what I REALLY like and my interests.

Just DO my thing...

-Enjoy my life
-Get my jersey in the NT rafters

2014 has not been a good year for me, just like 2013 wasn't a good year for me

.

For 2k15 I have a couple goals I would like to achieve :

- be on time. I'm never on time to work, social events, class etc. That has to change badly

- take more pride in my school work. I want to feel satisfied when I turn in an assignment vs just turning it in because it due

- put down the soda. I would be in much better shape if I could stop drinking soda as frequently as I do

- get closer with my family. I dont have the best relationship with my parents and siblings and its time to change that

- religiously, I need to start attending prayers more frequently and getting more in touch with my religion as a whole
