OFFICIAL 2015 M!AM! DOLPH!NS SEASON THREAD (6-10) / NEXT:

If we land Suh, keep Odrick, and trade up for Amari...

(I'm smiling as I type this.)

Man!

So unreal... that secondary would have a ton of help with that dline in place. Cooper, Clay, Landry, Wallace, Miller... yikes.

People didn't like Ross... I've said from jump he'll throw money at anything to win. Pretty sure I talked to Finns about how he isn't Wayne... fun times at the least fellas. I still have a huge problem with Coyle, but it'll be fixed with Suh killing three lineman a play.

Is trading up for cooper really necessary in this draft?

Nope. We should either stay put or trade down for more picks.

I really don't see trading up as an option either.

With the Raiders, Jets, Vikings, Browns, Rams drafting before the Dolphins all three of the big three might be gone. I'd like for them to stay at 14... a lot of talent in this draft.

Also, trading back is great in theory. .. not the easiest thing to do at all. We'll see... should know all lot by Saturday.

Draft is deep at WR...
Free Agency is deep at WR...

No... they don't.

Was looking for specifics as to when specific cuts could come and how much in cap room could be cleared... found this if anyone else was curious.

If Ellerbe is a pre-June 1 release, the Dolphins will have $5.6 million cleared off the books. If they can wait for June 1, though, they will clear $8.45 million.

The same factor will affect Philip Wheeler, whose release pre-June 1 only clears $200,000; yet after that magical date it will be $3 million cleared off the books.

Also factoring into Miami's cap room: the transition tag that Adam Schefter of ESPN reports has been applied to Charles Clay. The tag guarantees Clay $7 million in 2015; however, he might want to forgo the full amount in exchange for future security, so look for him and the Dolphins to agree to a new contract.

Center Mike Pouncey is in a similar situation, as he's in the final year of his contract, one that will pay him $7.438 million in 2015. I look for him to also forgo the full amount in exchange for the greater security of a long-term deal, and in fact, the Dolphins and Pouncey were working on a new contract as of last month.
I don't like the idea of Wallace being cut or traded, but if either were to happen, the Dolphins would save $5.5 million if Wallace is traded, $2.5 million if he's released now, or $6.9 million if he's a post-June 1 cut.

They're obviously waiting for the June 1st designation. I'm fine with it all, aside from Mike. They all can go.

seems fair... he's older and still expensive and a head case. value is lower.

" Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reported that a "high-placed source told me with confidence Suh is going to Dolphins. 2nd source said Lions only other team chasing. "

wow... Monday is going to be very interesting.

Now, I see Dolphins going ILB to compliment Suh in the middle. Or best FS avail.

Grabbing flowers to fill our DB needs, and Short or Royal for WR.

I want nothing to do with either of those players to be honest.

Culliver would be my number 1 target after Suh. Number 2 would be Nate Allen and then Searcy if I couldn't get Allen. Leave the offense alone until the draft. Lastly I would take a big look at Mason Foster. Loved that guy at Washington, he's been good in Tampa buy was injured.

I'm conflicted. You add suh to an already good defense, and I wonder if some of that money would've been better suited adding to the offensive line

Defense wasn't good... coaching gave away games but so did the defense. Only one I'll miss is Odrick.

The defense was good at the beginning of the season, then they ran out of gas.
