OFFICIAL 2015 M!AM! DOLPH!NS SEASON THREAD (6-10) / NEXT:

Is being cut...

And that is just according to a couple "sources"... unknown if it's 100% true or not.

So potentially, Landry, Rishard Matthews, and Kenny Stills, maybe draft a guy at 14 for WR1? Wow, and then add in Sims and Cameron at TE, what a flip.

*Assuming Wallace is cut

Don't be upset just yet.

I would have liked for Wallace to stay and pair with Landy/Stills, BUT, this might get Clay back, AND, guess who just got taken out of the WR market in round 1? :nerd:

The Vikings.

We now have a legit shot, at 14, for the leftover of Cooper, White, or Parker. Either of the 3 would work for us.

Wallace, Landry, Hartline, Gibson for a billion dollars.

Landry, Stills, Matthews, 14 for a couple million dollars, total

Which would you all prefer?

And oh by the way, Clay, Cameron, and Sims still growing into his NFL game.

Ellerbe and Wallace have been linked and speculated to be cut for months, and we were able to trade them for Stills and a 5th, AND pick up added cap space. Think about that.

Amazing **** goin on right now. Suh, McCain, Cameron, Stills and we swap a 3/7 for a 5 and cap space, basically.

And clearly, we are not done yet. Evan Mathis? :nerd: $$$ to spend on a S/LB or extra WR perhaps?

A chunk of the reasoning for parting with what amounted to 135 receptions in 2014 was because Tannehill apparently didn’t have an affable relationship with those departed wideouts, according to the Sun Sentinel’s Omar Kelly.
“His receivers did not like him last year and they didn’t hide it,” Kelly said on WQAM’s Joe Rose Show Monday morning. “All the receivers that didn’t like him have been dumped except for Rishard Matthews. We’re getting to the point now where if you don’t like Ryan Tannehill you’ve got to go. And I understand that but there are players who are saying ‘we’re hitching our wagon to the wrong person.’
“Ryan is a trending player — he’s the 14th best quarterback in the NFL. You have no other options. You need to ride him out until the wheels fall off because there are no other options to replace him, especially right now. But he needs to be a better leader and he’s working on that.”

The Miami Dolphins QB ranked 14th in quarterback rating, 14th in QBR, and was Pro Football Focus’ 11th best quarterback last season after passing for 4,045 yards and 27 touchdowns, both career highs.
The Dolphins have a decision to make with Tannehill, who’s entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract. They have a May deadline to extend him a fifth-year option worth around $15 million. The alternatives include extending him to a long-term deal or letting him hit unrestricted free agency in 2016.
“This is your poop-or-get-off-the-pot season,” Kelly said. “Not like there’s any other option but you’re about to pay Ryan Tannehill, not this year but in 2016 — you’re going to have to give him a $100 million contract. And that’s just the reality of the NFL today and right now he hasn’t produced a winning record in the NFL.”

Odd that Omar, who talks non ******* stop just to hear himself talk, never once said that Wallace, Hartline, and Gibson didn't like Tannehill.

But now that all 3 are gone, NOW he starts to say it? :nerd:

 get your clicks Omar.

 I noticed that.

Also funny is that he mentions Rishard doesn't like Ryan, but the 2 are pictured along with Landry working out with each other.

Edit: Recently I should add, like last week

What's funny about that is Omar has said the last three years has been sh-t or get off the pot seasons for Tannehill. Dude is a joke...

Where did he say Rishard doesn't like Ryan?

I do find it funny as well that all of a sudden Gibson, Hartline and Wallace didn't like Tanny... But this is the first we've heard about either Gibson and Hartline. First time we've heard a peep about that. Brian was over paid and dropped a ton of passes last year, also doesn't fit the system and it was obvious. Gibson was eh as well. Replaceable with Landry killing it in the slot as well as, you know, catching everything thrown to him. I've said for a while now it should be Wallace, Landry, and Matthews. Now it should be Stills, Landry, and Pick 14 (Parker, White, Cooper)... White will go top 10 100% now. Been singing his praises from jump and with his combine people actually say dude is a physical beast. I hope Parker now comes to 14.

@OmarKelly

#Dolphins 'Curse of the Good Guy Award': He was traded to Minnesota for a 2 piece & a biscuit (about Mike Wallace)

@OmarKelly

Mike Wallace is a real down to earth, humble, hard working dude. He put up with A LOT during his Dolphins tenure. I wish him the best.

I like playing that game while work is slow but it could really mess with people's head like these things could happen.
I do think, if possible, (big If) trade down in the second and acquire one or two picks. Stay at 14 and pick one of the three WRs now.

He must've known something I didn't. I know Mike was painted as a brat in his time here, but he didn't exactly strike me as hard working. Yeah he was last one to catch balls from the jugs machine after practice, but what about adjusting routes to track jump balls? Or diving for passes that were in arms reach? Sometimes the effort wasn't there when it should've been, for the money he was making.

With Stills being a speed guy, we'll really see if Tannehill can't hit a deep pass or Mike wasn't trying hard enough.

Omar Kelly is a joke I don't know how this guy is allowed to cover sports. Banters on Twitter like ur average diehard NFL fan and offers no insight.

The thing Stills is good at is tracking the ball. If Ryan gets it close, Stills has a shot.

If it wasn't perfect to Wallace, he wasn't gettin it.

Stills will fight for the ball. I'm not sayin Ryan becomes Aaron Rodgers, but Stills will come down with a few grabs. Cameron should be able to as well.

See almost all of ESPN "analyst" and you have your answer. When you are like a Skip Bayless it sells, people like that shock value.

I'll stick to Rich Eisen and co.
