Kidnap 31 other owners the day of the draft.

lmao... I'm on it.

"Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald thinks that Clay might be too expensive:

Clay is a solid player. He's a 50-70 catches per year guy. He's a 500-700 yards a year guy. He's a 3-6 TD a year guy, maybe better with a great QB. But $6 million per year?

I let Clay go out and test the market. And if he finds that $6 million a year deal, from the Bills or anyone else, I wish him well... I'll take my chances with Ryan Tannehill and Dion Sims making Dolphins fans forget about Charles Clay."

I fully agree.

Gotta say... I love the new look, very much soccer influenced and it looks great. I'm a fan.

If Wallace is gone then he we would be a good filler for the "down field threat" type. A lot cheaper. Can't say I WANT him though, the price is right and the three are released then he is a fine replacement.

Bad decision if we let Wallace walk with no clear weapons at his disposal. We're not going to get his caliber of performance with our other needs. I doubt we get our hands on K. White, Amari, or Parker. We'll have to rely on bringing in second hand talent for a system that needs explosive players that can get YAC. If you think Landry is going to be a savior, think again. He's a great redzone target, but his speed wouldn't get him past 20 yards of any defenders

I actually don't want Wallace to go IF he would take a restructured contract offer, but he will not take a pay cut. Him at $7 mill a year would be perfect to me.

His contract sucks and from jump 2015 was his "being cut" landing spot. I fully expect him to be cut...
Cobb, Maclin, Crabtree, DT, Dez, Moore, Jacoby Jones, Torrey Smith, Streater, and Kearse are all free agents coming up pending re-signing or the Tag obviously. All, except Dez, have much less baggage than Wallace... Torrey, Jone, Moore, Maclin can all stretch the field like Wallace if that's all that is needed and at a lesser pay check.

I've been a fan of Maclin since Mizzou, would love to see him in this offense. Would love to see the Dolphins make a run at him... Crabtree would be nice as well. But I think if you specifically want to replace Wallace you go after Torrey Smith, same player but better human being as far as team stuff.

Either way the quitting on the field, looking for penalties instead of fighting the ball, and acting like a child with the media has to go. Either from being cut or his attitude changing.

lol... that part of it, who knows with the Dolphins? They mess these things up all the time.

My guess is yes. Numbers game being what it is... 10 players, 1 team.

My thing is this, if our future is with Tannehill, give the man the proper tools to get the job done. Mike Wallace, Brandon Albert, Brandon Gibson, Juwan James and Jarvis Landry were all tools to improve Tanne's game.
To take Wallace, our most dangerous weapon from The team, is essentially setting Tanne up for failure. Even if we release MW, we won't have the cap space to compete that kind of Talent in FA

Tannehill will regress with a 2-3 round gamble at WR, Jacoby Jones, Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews at WR. And a year from now, we'll say he's a bust. We need a solid crop of WRs. I think a Crabtree/ Dre Would be great from a possession perspective.

Tom Brady has had one elite WR in his career... Tannehill needs to be > the tools.

W/O Wallace = Landry, Miller, Clay, Sims, Matthews, and Hazel who was drafted last year. (Yes I fully expect Hartline + Gibson to be gone) those three as well as the two linebackers will give the Dolphins more than enough cap room. This draft is so damn deep with Receiver that I am not worried about losing Wallace. Again, would I like to keep him? Yes... he is not for $10+ million dollars... he's just not in any way shape or form.

Don't get me wrong, having great tools is nice. But his surrounding cast needs to just be OK, his line needs to be elite before the WR core.

I like Matthews a lot too, better than Hartline for a number 2 receiver.

Ok, what if Clay leaves too?

Losing Clay AND Wallace, while still needing to complete the Oline + add depth at RB, while the defense is a mess and Wake/Grimes enter final stages.

Sims steps in and Lynch fills Sims role.
I'm not saying it will be great, what I'm saying is Wallace isn't worth it. Is Clay worth $5 mill a year, yes. Is he worth $7... no.
Spend that money on one of the above WRs: (Torrey, Maclin or Cobb... all good fits) draft a Clive, Koyack, or Jesse James... Great to Good WRs are all over this draft as well.
I feel like first two rounds need to address defense, specifically CB/DT.
After that Safety, WR, TE and OT/G.

Also have plenty of wiggle in FA with said releases... I don't see these two people as a huge loss. Sims performed really well while Clay was out this year as well.

I agree, with an exceptional offensive line, Tanne will show tremendous improvement. But his WR core still has to produce, even if it is mediocre production. There were way too many dropped passes, coupled with the WR lack of YAC, and not getting enough separation from coverage. Couple that with the fact that the only player physically capable of making a play down field was Wallace.

I would like to see a stout DT taken at 14. That make sense, but I would also like to see some strings pulled and a top target for RT. Landry must stay in the slot too.

Most of that was Wallace, Hartline and Clay though. (Drops)
