Johnson is the best CB in the draft RT @QBKlass: Trae Waynes is easily a lesser prospect than Kevin Johnson.

@Cianaf Waynes isn't good.

Finally people are seeing the flaws w/ Trae Waynes. If ya got stiff hips, ya got stiff hips. Gimme Peters all day.

Had an NFL personnel man tell me Trae Waynes is "a grabber" and that will hurt him in NFL until he learns not to do it. IDK. I like him.

For reference: 4.16 is considered average for cornerbacks. Trae Waynes 4.19 is an improvement, but still not great.

I don't love thought of any rookie CB prospect starting for #Packers on Day 1 though, from Trae Waynes to Jalen Collins. Need to develop.

Question his short-area quickness, transition ability RT @stramben: why are you not as big a fan of trae waynes as other analysts are?
Lot of this is just today, I don't even have time to go back thru other stuff I have on him.
Like I said, he will get picked, early even. I have ZERO doubt, but think about Mo Claiborne. He went top 6, "sure thing" LSU, etc etc, and he busted HARD.
People always reach and grab for CB, same as QB with Locker, Gabbert, Ponder, etc. He will go in round 1, before, or after us, but will he actually be any good? That I don't know. But I have a very strong feeling people are reaching for him because he's the best CB available, but that doesn't make him better than the other positions teams will pass on. Which is what I don't want us to do.
I want the better player, not the better player at the weakest position.
If we can get Kevin Johnson in round 2, and use 14 on somethin else, I do that 100 times out of 100. (not sure we'll get KJ in 2 tho, he may jump up too, like I said, weak position.
There will be receivers going in round 4, better than these corners in round 1. Think about that.
