NFL Week 17 In Review....

Told my friend during the Falcons/Packers game that being a fan of the team was the equivalent of putting a lit cigarette out on your bare skin, stretched out over 17 weeks. Season finale score = Case closed.

Giants:

- Didn't expect ODB to cook like this at all this season. Can't wait to have him and a healthy Cruz back next season
- Eli put up good numbers besides the BS. Hope he has a better line to protect him next season.
- Defense needs to get better. Secondary especially!!
- I say Coughlin stays and comes back next year.
- We'll be back in the playoffs next year.

NFL:

- Cowboys are in the playoffs but Romo's gon Romo. Just watch
- 9ers are gonna get worse from here
- Didn't wanna see Rex get fired. He gave the Jets an identity and swag IMO. He will flourish in his next gig.
- JJ Watt should be MVP. Dude is such a beast :x
- Manziel's a bum.

Manziel definitely knows how to put on a act in front the cameras. Dude says all the right **** then he does the complete opposite.

if anyone gets a chance, search "ballerific" and 'bum". everyone is a bum

Ehhh, people are too quick to crown everyone. No one has standards. I don't think Carr, Bridgewater or Bortles are bums. Manziel got drafted in the first round because he's white. Deal with it. You got an organization that's considering cutting him after one season. That says plenty but maybe the few people on NT that live in the state of Texas know way more than a professional organization in the NFL.

This SF presser is brutal to watch. These guys sound so damn lost. Jed got me cracking up.

So your response to people being crowned too quickly is trying to be the first to call them a bum. Got it.

Hmmmm, not sure how you got that so I won't even bring up anyone else. Jonny Manziel is a spoiled kid that is all about social media and attention. The kid is small, slow (physically and mentally) and doesn't have great mechanics to begin with. Manziel couldn't beat out Hoyer, they said the playbook was a little too much for him and he didn't want to study. He was also doing his own thing being his own celebrity. When you have five strikes against you before you even take one snap in the regular season, you don't have any room to have AN AWFUL game or be late or act careless. Now, if you replace Manziel's name with Troy Smith, Curtis Painter or EJ Manuel, you would be asking why is he still in the league.

But I'm wrong, the kid is intelligent, makes great decisions on and off the field and will have a very long future in the NFL

Are NE fans cheering for Pitt so Ravens don't go to Foxborough in the second round?

i want pitt to beat baltimore...granted i think you guys are a tougher out than baltimore this year. but i like your chances against denver more

Bell isn't gonna be healthy so that's a huge blow for Pitt. They said there's a chance he won't play depending on how sore his knee is.

I don't want to pile on Johnny and could care less about the off field rumors and ish, but his was one of the worst debuts I've ever seen. After all the talk I wondered if there is a single thing he could do well.

You must have some concerns after seeing the performance, no?

I hope he works out, Browns franchise deserves it.

Texans
- When you leave your fate in other teams' hands, this is what happens. The Browns choked, but the Texans had various games this season where they didn't finish the job. I picked them to go 9-7 and sneak into the playoffs, and once again, the job didn't get finished.
- Watt's the man
- Hope that wasnt Andre's last game as a Texan.

Seahawks
- Home field advantage will be much needed this year. Despite early turmoil, I think it's save to say the Seahawks today are a little bit better than lets say, two months ago.

The League
- Pretty shocked and impressed at how the Steelers season has gone, I thought they'd be dead for awhile.
- Speaking of dead, poor Niners, the Seahawks shoulder clapped them and their collective spirit, forcing them to have a moral victory for a coach that didnt want them in the first place, instead of playing for something truly meaningful. Had a spark when they started, but now they may as well have Mike Singletary.
-Want the Browns, Cavs, and Indians to finish waaaaaay under .500 for the rest of their existance.
- I could see anything and everything happening in the Dal/Det game, could be truly epic.
- Didnt even realize the Pack were 12-4. Very below the radar 12-4, even with Rodgers' popularity.
- Another restart for Oakland
- Giants have so much to look forward to with OBJ, but cant say the same for the rest of that team.

Real nice meeting a bunch of NTers the other night, even though could only immediately put names and faces to @blackxme @Statis22 do work son do work son and @mr2cool80 out of like 12 people

i absolutely have concerns

i've said in the past his mechanics have been bad. too often he trusts too much in his arm and puts the ball up for grabs off his back foot. clearly his attitude has shown his not matured enough yet either.

even then, i think he can be effective if surrounded with some help. a healthy o line for a start, and for kyle shanahan to stop thinking he's rg3 and running multiple read options and QB draws
