This was me! I thought the quality was going to be super trash but I held them today for the first time and they're not bad at all.

I normally don't post things but I felt I needed to.  I got my pair from Nike direct yesterday.  Nice shiny area on the toe cape from glue or something as well as scuffs on the painted midsole.  So I am sending those back.  Because I will never be able to get that off.  I didnt even look at the right one.

I went to my local mall and went through 5 pairs at the local Foot Locker trying to find a pair that wasnt messed up.  First pair had a crease across the toe, second pair had glue that had seeped out of the midsole on the heel, third pair had a weird gray mark on the leather, fourth pairs leather on the inside of the right shoe didn't match with the rest of it (wrinkled), fifth pair... the pair I bought I took them out of the bag just now to put them away and noticed a small scuff in the leather.  No biggie.  What I failed to notice yesterday was that the black stabilizer had a nice cut in it.  So I am returning them.  I hand make stuff for a living.  I understand flaws, but to me this seems a little ridiculous.  I genuinely thought I could just grab the first pair and walk out.  Now I am debating whether to even try and get them at this point.

If I am being ridiculous feel free to say so.  Because I kinda think I am.  I just havent seen these type of flaws before.

I wouldn't say you're being 'ridiculous', just maybe a bit unrealistic as to what you'll be able to grab on a GR Jordan shoe sadly.

I do find it odd that you couldn't bite on pairs that had excess midsole glue (something that a simple Google or YouTube search could've rectified), small creases (which leather just does from time to time), or inconsistent leather (on that 4th pair; that's just common as all hell with JB), but would've been fine with one that had leather scuffs; but that's your prerogative.

Well the scuff was really small.  And it looked more like an imperfection in the leather.  I am more annoyed about the plastic having the cut in it.  That creased one across the toe looked like someone had worn them.  It was that kinda crease.  And the the one with the wrinkled leather just looked weird.  I personally havent bought a pair of Jordans with that type of flaw before and I have been buying them since the original V's.  I wish they would go back to Durabuck at some point.

I am just gonna take this pair back and buy a pair at Finishline.  I still want these and I understand they won't be perfect.  But this is the colorway I have been wanting ever since I saw a pic of the original Motorsports.

My mans was in there checking pairs like..

Lol

I didn't even really check my pair. Tried on the right shoe quickly, mainly because the associate took the time to unlaced for me. But my pair was fine right off the bat. Now while I have seen some inconsistencies like differing leather textures that would bug me, I don't have super high expectations on getting a "perfect" pair. I have read enough of these stories on here to know that once you get passed the 2nd or 3rd pair, you're going to find something you don't like. But like someone above said, it's your call what you want when spending your money.

Believe me I am not normally like this.  At all.

Out of those 5 pairs I did buy one.  Which was the pair I took back today.

I went over to finish line and was ready to buy the pair I was shown and only because there was a line I decided to quickly glance at a second pair since they werent busy otherwise.  I just put together the left and right from either box and left.  Are they perfect?  Nope.  But whatever.  I don't care anymore.  They are good enough.

I wasnt after a "perfect" pair but I also do not expect a $190.00 pair of shoes to have all sorts of flaws on them either.

To give an example in the last few months I have bought the 88 OG's, the 9's and the Space Jams.  All were completely acceptable and it is pretty well documented the issues the 3's had.

This will most likely be the last pair of Jordans I buy though (unless I can get a second pair of Motorsports on sale or something).  The cost is simply too high anymore and the quality is still lacking.  And thats ok with me.

I hope my man up there is gonna put these in a glass case in his living room. Cause after a day of wearing them, they're gonna look a lot worse than the ones he had to do a CSI inspection on.

Not trying to be rude but I just think he's just doing too much. Some tires cost thousands of dollars but you don't see dudes inspecting small lettering imperfections. Just let that rubber meet the road man.
