NIKE METCON THREAD - 7s out now

concord ca in northern ca but looks like though from what other people are posting more sports authorities are having them in stock

Been wanting to pick up a pair of these (grey/gum looks dope), but they're still not available here in the Philippines. Will probably just have to wait until I'm back stateside then go on the hunt.

How do these hold up for short runs (3-5K distances)?

I do not like to run in mine more than 400m at a time. Nike has much better running shoes if you're doing a 5K or something.
But these are a great shoe for Crossfit. I love mine.

FYI my Camo's have made it through the washing machine with no problems.

I ran a quarter mile in these just to get my heart rate going. I don't think I'll be doing that again. For me, with flat feet and knee problems, I need something with more support and stability.

For those of you that are really desperate to get your hands on the grey/gum metcons, you can sign up for a service that creates a UK mailing address and once received, the company will ship your items to the States.  It costs $18.  The only problem is the metcon's on the NDC UK site are 100 pounds, which is roughly $146 + $18 = $164 total.  Just an option.

. I've ran over 4 miles on different occasions on concrete and on treadmills in my blue lagoon metcons with no issues. I couldn't run a mile in my nanos before my feet and ankles would start killing me.

I second that, running feels great in the metcons not matter the distance.  Haven't had any of the problems with my feet that I used to get when I would run in nano's.

How do I sign up for that service ??

You sure it's not $18 + another shipping cost on top???
You know, I just looked at it and there is another cost for the shipping back to the US.  I've never used it but know many people who do for shopping in Oz and US for items that won't ship directly to those countries. Good catch.

The portland Nike store has camo and black, in stock. A friend just picked up a pair of camo, so I'm now waiting for another colorway to come along so we're not twins...

anywhere online with the lava reds before I drop more coin than I want to, hehe (size 12)

They will release on Nike.com on the 14th. Or if you can find a local nike store they should have them. My closest nike store got them last week.

you're my go to option if all else fails. The friend in Portland for Garth Brooks will stop by tomorrow and check to see if they have any 12s on hand, if not, I'll try Nike on the 14th, if not, the internets will prevail and random strangers will come to my rescue

Why do I foresee myself having like 8 pairs of these, ugh.....
